Aspen has long been respected by healers and herbalists. Almost all parts of this tree (in any case the ground ones) are applicable in the treatment of various ailments. Plant bark is especially effective. It contains the largest number of healing substances. And although official medicine has not recognized the right to treatment for a tree, it is very widely used, for example, aspen bark for diabetes. The reviews of those who were not afraid to try the folk method are encouraging: it turned out to be very effective.
Harvesting raw materials
In some pharmacies, you can still buy the basis for the medicine, but it is better when you use the manually collected aspen bark for diabetes. Reviews note the great effectiveness of the drug with high-quality, properly prepared raw materials.
If you distinguish aspen from birch and are ready to spend some time for high-quality treatment (yours or your loved ones), arm yourself with a sharp knife and go to the forest in late spring (starting from the second half of April and ending with the last day of May). At this time, trees begin sap flow. That is, the raw materials will act more actively, and the aspen, which shares the bark with you, will not die from your actions. A young tree is selected, which has grown not too thick, up to seven millimeters, a protective layer. A circular incision is made around the trunk, another ten centimeters below it. They are connected by vertical slots, and the resulting rectangles are removed from the trunk. The main thing in this business is not to damage the wood. Billets are dried in a slightly heated oven with an ajar door or in the shade on the street.
Make a decoction
It was it that was most often used by people whom aspen bark helped out of diabetes. It is crushed (not into dust) and filled with water at the rate of four volumes of liquid per raw material. The saucepan is placed on the smallest fire and after boiling is left on it for half an hour. After being covered with a lid and infused for six hours at room temperature. If you have a pharmacy bark, then you need to boil it for only five minutes, but insist - the same amount. In order not to "kill" the therapeutic effect that aspen bark can give in diabetes mellitus, reviews strongly warned against sweetening the decoction not only with a sugar substitute, but even with berry juice.
Flask of Bark
No less good is the infused aspen bark for diabetes. Reviews about this remedy are even more favorable, because, unlike the decoction, this drug has a pleasant taste. The only restriction in the preparation of the infusion is that it is made only from fresh raw materials, that is, it is available only in the first half of summer. The bark is thoroughly washed and ground with a meat grinder or in a blender. It turns out coarse gruel, which must be poured for half a day with a triple volume of water.
Aspen Kvass
Aspen bark for diabetes can be used in such a very pleasant form in the summer heat. Kvass is made almost like a regular, bread, with only one additional ingredient. Raw materials are suitable both fresh and dried. Only in the first case, a three-liter jar is half filled with it, and in the second - by a third. In addition to the bark, an incomplete glass of sugar is poured into the jar, the container on the shoulders is filled with warm water, a teaspoon of thick sour cream is added, and the jar is placed on the windowsill for two weeks.
Miracle tea
Consider another way that diabetes is treated aspen. This time you will need dry raw materials. For the convenience of its use, fresh bark is immediately cut into narrow strips (no thicker than two centimeters), dried (preferably in a natural way - it will take from a week to two) and manually crumbles to about the size of a regular large-leaf tea. The bark is stored in the same way - in a metal lockable box or a glass jar with a lid. Plastic is not suitable, as the raw materials can have a specific smell, and at the same time not very useful properties. Cardboard packaging is also not suitable - dry bark, like tea, is hygroscopic, can become damp and moldy. Bark is brewed like plain tea: a couple of spoons are poured with boiling water and aged in a teapot or thermos from half an hour to an hour. Every day you should prepare a new drink.
Treatment rules
How to lower blood sugar with aspen bark depends on how you take it. Each drug has its own rules, although there is a certain commonality between them: the course always implies certain breaks between cycles. So, we will consider how to use this product in different forms.
- Decoction. It is taken in a stack of forty milliliters three times a day half an hour before meals for a duration of three weeks. Further, the reception for ten days is suspended. If you have diabetes in the initial stage or in mild form, the next course may not be necessary. With an average flow of such approaches, three are done; in severe cases, with observed interruptions, the broth is drunk constantly.
- Infusion. The dosage regimen is the same as that of the decoction, however, the volume increases to half a glass, since without boiling into the liquid, useful substances pass into a lower concentration.
- Kvass. It is drunk regardless of food with a total volume of up to three glasses per day. It is taken for two months, after which the treatment is interrupted for two weeks. Moreover, the originally laid bark should be enough for the entire course, in connection with which each drunk a glass is compensated by the same amount of water and a spoonful of sugar.
- Tea. It is drunk three times a day, shortly before meals, in a third of a glass for two weeks. The interval between courses is a month.
Additional clarification: all versions of the medicine, except kvass, it is better to cook daily, fresh. Most often, people do them in the evening, so that by the morning the remedy is ready. If for some reason it is not possible to prepare the drug daily, a reserve of two days is allowed. But no more - the healing effect during storage is significantly reduced.
Who should be careful
Aspen bark for diabetes has no contraindications and prohibitions. The only patients who have to abandon it are those who have a clearly defined personal intolerance. This happens very rarely, but if after taking nausea, dizziness or aching head, double in eyes or rashes, you have to look for other methods to reduce blood sugar - using aspen bark, it becomes dangerous.
In the absence of allergies, caution should be exercised for those who often have constipation. Aspen bark also has an astringent effect, therefore, traditional medicine is used in the treatment of the stomach with intestines in diseases accompanied by diarrhea.
For people with normal digestion, itβs enough to remember to make intervals between courses, so as not to make dysbiosis.
