Modern psychology studies the consciousness, psyche of a particular individual in her personal activity. That is why a person’s personality and its activity are among the most important factors for study in psychology.
A person is called a person who has consciousness and, at the same time, displays activities aimed at social development.
From this definition it becomes clear that the person and the concept of "man" are different. After all, it cannot be said that a newborn infant is a person or an individual. Also, people suffering from serious diseases, mental disorders - in these cases, a person has an irreversible decay of the inner world.
In order to become a person, initially a person needs to achieve a certain level of improvement in his inner mental development.
A person cannot live in solitude, because he is an integral part of the surrounding society. All that parents teach the child - to use various subjects, to speak, to participate in social activities, to work - initially bears the imprint of relations with the outside world. Thanks to this, the emerging personality of a growing person is initially subjected to the direct influence of already established and established social relations. In the end, it turns out that the thoughts that a person considers individual are still generated by the influence of the surrounding society. It follows that the personality is not only a part of society in the physical plane, it would be an inaccurate and not quite correct definition of the personality, the consciousness of the individual and its behavior are also directly related to the ideas and specific conditions of the surrounding society.
It is worth noting that the influence of society on an individual is not a very simple and understandable aspect. After all, today there is simply a huge number of different social conditions. They differ in social and territorial characteristics, various traditions and beliefs, work and moral thresholds.
A direct influence on the development of personality is provided by belonging to any class or nation. But even if people are representatives of the same race, live in the same country and are on the same social level, their inner world is far from being formed in the same way. After all, a person from birth is in a narrower social environment, which imposes certain conditions on him. It is in the family that the child first learns about faith (Catholicism, Christianity, Islam, Protestantism, etc.), is brought up at a certain cultural level, learns the “right” outlook on life. Of course, the concept of “man” does not always imply a personality, we already understand that a child cannot be a full-fledged individual, the process of formation and development of a personality will take place in a child as he grows up, his views on some things, foundations, traditions will also change .
This leads to a brief definition and phased development of the individual - this is a person who works and always takes an active part in the life of the society to which he belongs.
Of course, the personality structure has a number of inherent natural properties. These include congenital inclinations, the properties of the central nervous system, the state of the organs of speech and feelings in a person at the time of his birth. After all, it has already been proved that a dwarf or a person with facial flaws, defects and speech impairment does not conduct and feels in the surrounding society as far as a person born without any inborn flaws and imperfections.
A personality always develops, grows both morally and spiritually. The concept of "personality" and the concept of "man" cannot exist separately from each other.
For example, one person strives for self-knowledge all his life, reads a lot, improves himself intellectually, spiritually, and morally - this is a versatile person. The other, on the other hand, dwells on acquired personal qualities that had formed at the time of growing up, but at the same time he worked and took part in social activities. Both of them are people, both personalities, however, while one of them is a versatile personality, and the other is simply a formed individual. From this it follows that the concept of "personality" is as different as the concept of "man" - people and personalities of modern time are an absolute diversity.
Each individual in modern society expresses its own claims. Under the claims of the individual are meant those roles and goals that a person defines for himself as desirable, achievable, real and feasible.
The ideal of modern man is a versatile personality. Such a person ideally harmonizes “physical perfection, purity of morality and spiritual wealth”. Thanks to the construction of modern society, to educate and develop in a person a diverse personality becomes absolutely real.
