Love: types. Parental love and its types

What is love? A chemical reaction in the human body that occurs under certain conditions, or an emotional psychological dependence? No scientist has yet been able to accurately answer this question. Each person has their own concept of the word "love." Types of relationships of such a plan are found in everyday life: parental care, patriotism, passion, love, friendship, attraction to the opposite sex.

Types of female love, like male love, are absolutely similar. However, there is no one general concept of love relationships.

The main types of love between people

In philosophy, the following 7 types of love relationships are distinguished:

  • Eros. Passion that overshadows common sense, the desire to possess a person at all costs. It usually develops into a different type, but more often passes quickly and suddenly, as it appears. The peculiarity of erotic love is a continuous stream of emotions, a storm of exhausting and destructive feelings that defy logical explanation.
  • Storge. Tenderness, combined with perfect mutual understanding. The partners here are for each other both lovers and close friends.
  • Agape. Sacrifice mixed with passion. Formed by a combination of eros and storge. It is quite rare. In a relationship, both partners develop, learn to give, not demanding anything in return, while forgetting about their ego.
  • Ludus. Love, in which deep feelings are completely absent, this provokes a search for stronger emotions when connected with a large number of partners. Psychologists consider ludus a monogamous, consumer kind of love relationship.
  • Pragma. Rational relations formed from storges and lusus. A person comes to this kind of love, relying not on emotions, but on logic and reason. However, pragmatic relationships often lead to a lasting alliance.
  • Mania. The obsession with a partner, either collapsing on its own, or developing into a more stable type of relationship. Mania is a combination of ludus and eros. Features: attacks of jealousy, complete dependence on the person, loss of peace of mind, tension.
  • Filia. The most disinterested pure relationship. People like this kind of love for their children, their close circle (relatives, friends). Filia is distinguished by the fact that in it spiritual prevails over physical intimacy.

Types of female love
Psychology

Modern science of relationships, emotions and self-knowledge, the mental activity of people, distinguishes love, the types of which are presented below.

Crooked and correct relationship. In a curve of love, a person either continues to have strong feelings for a lost relationship, or makes selfish demands on a true partner. This connection is accompanied by jealousy, sentimentality, anxiety, the use of feelings of a partner for their own purposes. Correct relationship is the care of a loved one, the presentation of high demands of the individual to himself.

What are the types of love

"I give" and "I want." In the first case, one of the partners wants to give care and positive emotions, in the second - to take away, without giving anything in return. Separately, relationships are extremes exhausting people. However, their combination leads to complete harmony and mutual understanding.

Deal and gift. A love deal is the foundation of most love affairs. It is an exchange of something on certain conditions, if the agreements of this type are not observed, the relationship is broken. Giving also implies a complete, disinterested return to the partner.

Love is sick and love is healthy. Finding a person in a sick, neurotic love, exhausts emotionally and mentally. The basis of the relationship is the painful attachment of the lover to the object of desire and the desire to suffer. A healthy relationship gives both partners positive emotions.

Decision or reaction. Love can be a manifestation of a reaction to external influences. Here, a person takes off all responsibility for the appearance of feelings, and for their disappearance. In a love-decision, the person is fully aware of each of the actions and the manifestation of emotions. The decision is not only feelings, but also everyday actions of a person.

main types of love

Parental love and its types

According to studies, to a greater extent to the child, parents experience a disinterested pure love in which they exalt him above themselves. But no less painful relationships are found both for the baby himself and for the parents.

Kinds of love for a child

Maternal and paternal love, the types and manifestations of which are described in family psychology, leave an indelible mark on the future adult member of society. What a person will become in the future depends entirely on the attention, education and love bestowed on him in childhood.

What are the types of love for a child shown by parents? In child psychology, there are only 8 types of relationships between mom, dad and baby.

Effective warm relationship

It is based on sympathy, respect for desires and feelings, spiritual closeness with a child. The motto of parental love: "I want my baby to achieve in life everything he wants, and I will be his support." Relations are formed due to the constant manifestation of care, support, a safe emotional background in the family, as well as the acceptance by parents that their child is an independent person.

Parental love and its types

A pity

Interconnection without respect, but with a manifestation of sympathy and intimacy. Excessive custody, distrust based on the imaginary (real) physical and mental disabilities of the child - all this is compassionate love. Types of manifestation: rejection of personality, lack of support and faith in ability, ability of the baby. The motto of a compassionate relationship: "I am sorry that my child is not sufficiently developed in one way or another, but I still love him."

Detachment

Types of love for the child, which include respect and warm feelings, support, but occurring at a certain distance in communication - this is the detached parental love. The relationship is based on encouraging the success of the child, experiencing pride in his offspring, but at the same time ignorance of his inner world, attitudes and preferences, and inability to solve the problems of the baby.

Indulgent detachment

The main thing in this style of communication between parents and the child: disrespect, the manifestation of sympathy over a long distance. Parents justify any failures, deficiencies in the physical and mental development of the baby by heredity, while they do not try to prevent his possible failures and negative experience, thereby condemning him to life insecurity.

The pursuit

A mixture of respect, intimacy and antipathy are the main qualities of parental love of this type. The use of tight control by parents, coupled with rigor, excessive moralization, has one goal - the complete refraction of the psyche and individual characteristics of the child. At the same time, adults recognize the willpower of their baby.

Rejection

This behavioral feature is quite rare in both parents, more often in one of them. Dad or mother are annoyed by the presence of the baby nearby, do not want to help him solve any problems, do not feel warm emotions towards him.

Contempt

Parents who use contempt as prerogative behavior consider the child a failure, due to its specific characteristics. At the same time, adults do not notice the baby's success, considering them insignificant, and also feel self-pity for the kinship with the offspring. Basically, in families using this type of communication, it is customary to relieve themselves of all responsibility for the development of the child, shifting it to specialists (teachers, tutors, psychologists).

Psychological failure

Parents do not participate in the life of the baby, while respecting his strength and abilities. Adults watch the child from a distance, without rendering him feasible assistance in resolving the problem.

It is worth noting that not one of the forms of communication occurs separately. Basically, parents use several types of love for their baby, but it all depends on the age of the child and the behavioral, mental characteristics of the family.
