Successful football career
Football connoisseurs will immediately say who is shown in this photo.
Cheeky Begirystine made his decisive step in the career of a football player in 1988. At the age of 23, he moved to Barcelona. Cheeky Begyristine quickly adapted, and it was his goal that became the first in the starting game of the 1988-1989 season. At the end of the year, Cheeky became the only Barça footballer to play in all championship matches. Interestingly, Cheeky's goals brought victory to the team in the first two seasons. In the most difficult matches, “Barca” often sounded “give the ball to Chiki”. And he knew what to do with it. With the club, the footballer won four titles - European Cup (1992), UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (1989), UEFA Super Cup (1992) and twice Spanish Super Cup (1991, 1992).
In 1995, he moved to Deportivo. Sports career gradually faded away, and in 1997, having scored the only goal in the last match of the season, Begyristine left Europe. Urava Red Diamonds was the last refuge in his playing career.
Sports Officer
In 2003, he returned to the club, but now as a sports director. It was under the technical supervision of Chickey that Barcelona signed the crucial contracts for the club with the coach Frank Rajkard and such players as Ronaldinho, Deco and Samuel Eto'o. They returned the club to the football elite thanks to a victory in 2005 in the UEFA Champions League.
In 2009, thanks to an excellent game and thoughtful management, the club with Begirystain at the head became the only club in Europe to win all major tournaments within one year. In addition, Barca, the only club in history to make the Golden Hat Trick, won the Spanish Championship, the UEFA Champions League and won the Spanish Cup. Since 2010, Begyristine has been the sports director of Manchester City.
