DIY strawberry beds are not difficult to prepare. To do this, you can use one of the existing methods. Modern methods of forming beds for strawberries can solve the problems that arise when growing this picky garden crop. One of them is the use of agrofibre.
Before starting the formation of beds for strawberries, you must purchase the necessary materials. It will require agrofibre, wire or metal studs to fix it.
Well-lit areas of the garden are dedicated to this culture. They make markings for the beds for strawberries, the shape and dimensions of which can be different, but one of its sides should be equal to the width of the agrofibre. After the place for culture is determined, the site is dug up and scored with a rake.
Now comes the most crucial moment in the formation of a bed for strawberries. Agrofibre is divided into strips corresponding to the size of the markup. They are laid on prepared soil and fixed with metal staples. Joints of agrofibre overlap with a gap of 20 centimeters. The edges and corners of the flooring are fixed with paving tiles or stones. For the convenience of caring for plants and harvesting, beds for strawberries are located at a distance of 30 centimeters from each other.
Now you can start planting seedlings. Usually, they plan a landing in the spring. A bed under a strawberry is marked for planting bushes. In certain places, cuts in agrofibre are made with a sharp knife. At this point, plants are planted. Care should be taken to ensure that the growth point is not deepened under the soil. The corners of agrofiber in place of the bush are turned inward. In this way, all planting material is planted , which should fill all the beds for strawberries. Seedlings are watered individually. The bed under the strawberries is ready.

The strawberry beds thus formed are very convenient to care for. They eliminate the appearance of weeds, facilitate the removal of mustaches and harvesting. Care for such plantings consists in regular watering and fertilizing. Strawberry does not tolerate waterlogging. Watering is done several times a week. In rainy and cool weather, watering is reduced. Strawberries are fertilized with this method of growing with a solution of special complex fertilizers. When making granular top dressing, they are evenly scattered throughout the garden. In the autumn, the strawberry beds are filled with mustache formed over the summer. They are removed and used as seedlings for new plantings.
Also, as a disease prevention, part of the foliage of the plants is removed. Ripe berries are practically not contaminated. Harvesting is pretty simple. The use of agrofibre not only facilitates the maintenance of labor-intensive garden crops, but also contributes to obtaining good yields without losses.
