The main role in the country's income system is played by the minimum wage, mandatory for all employees of organizations, various forms of ownership, enterprises and other structures.
The main objective is to provide self-employed persons with the necessary social protection when viewed in terms of a living wage. This also applies to his family.
Guided by 133 articles of the Labor Law of Russia, the minimum wage must be higher than the subsistence minimum, or equal to it. Article 421 stipulates that raising the minimum wage to the required minimum is regulated by federal law. But, unfortunately, this law has not yet been adopted.
Do not forget that the consumer basket in the 90s was reduced by 30%, and has not yet been restored. This situation further exacerbates the already not very good financial situation of the main population of the country. Regulation of income is very difficult. And therefore, in our country, people's well-being determines the minimum wage, which few people are satisfied with.

What is the basis for calculating the minimum wage? General working conditions, as well as wages, where trade unions take part, are considered by agreements concluded for a certain period. Moreover, usually the minimum wage discussed in the tariff agreements looks like the lowest hourly wage offered when hiring an employee. A person applying for a job has the right to agree or reject inappropriate conditions.
In other words, the minimum wage is the result of a tariff agreement, which states that the entrepreneur is charged with restrictions for lowering wages and using competition in the labor market.
The tariff agreement, which includes a collective minimum, is supported by the state. This can be seen in the financial policies of foreign countries, where under the law the MPL is the norm that cannot be underestimated.
As many have noticed, the minimum wage often does not meet the lower limit, although it is set by the state. This can be explained by the fact that the objectives of the standards have differences.
The state that established the minimum wage, imputes to it the role of a stabilizing factor, which prohibits reducing wages that do not correspond to the cost of living.
In addition to the fact that the contracts stipulate the minimum wage, the length of the working day is also regulated. Most countries use a 40-hour workweek of five days. Some countries, represented by trade unions, are seeking to reduce their weekly working period to 35 hours.

In our country, the problem of applying the minimum wage is discussed in political circles, and its essence is reduced to the fight against poverty. The minimum wage model in Russia has some distinctive features. Throughout the entire elapsed time after the reform, its level, both relative and absolute, remained much lower than in countries, for example, in Western Europe.
The law established by the Russian Federation states that an employee is guaranteed a minimum wage if he has fully worked for a certain period of time and fulfilled all labor obligations.
