Demi de Zeuv is a former Dutch footballer who played for various clubs both in his native country and abroad. This year he turned 33 years old, but he completed his career in the summer of 2015. Demi de Zeuv played in the position of a central midfielder and was a center field universal - he could play both an opornik with defensive functions and an attacking midfielder with a focus on other people's gates.
Carier start
Demi de Zeuw was born May 26, 1983 in Holland and at the age of six he joined the football school of the local club Apeldoorn. There he spent a rather long period of time, but at age 12 he moved to a larger and more serious club - AGOVV. It was there that this player was brought up, but he did not conclude a professional contract with the team. The fact is that when he was about to turn eighteen, another Dutch club became very interested in the midfielder - โGo Ahead Eaglesโ, where he moved in 2001. Demi de Zeuv signed a professional contract with the Eagles and began his performances at a high level.
Blossom at the Go Ahead Eagles
The defensive midfielder in those days was considered as a great talent, so in the new club he expected to develop at an impressive pace. However, age and lack of practice affected the situation, and in the first season Demi entered the field only three times. Over the next two seasons, the situation improved slightly, but de Zeuw was still a reserve player. He entered the field thirty more times, scoring four goals - and only in 2004 managed to become a base player. Having played 38 matches and scored four more goals, the footballer attracted the attention of other clubs, including one of the country's strongest clubs AZ.
Transition to AZ
In 2005, for just one hundred thousand euros, de Zeuw moved to AZ, where he immediately became one of the key players. He progressed very quickly and in four years gained amazing form. For โAZโ Demi Patrick Rene de Zeuve played 157 matches, which was a record figure in his career - he did not play for any other club so often. But in the summer of 2009 for eight million euros he was sold to the country's strongest club, Ajax.
The game for Ajax
In Ajax, de Zeuv spent only two years - he constantly received game practice, but did not greatly impress the club management with his game. In 95 matches, he scored 16 goals and became the champion of the Netherlands for the second time - for the first time, he already won the tournament as part of AZ in 2009, just before leaving for the new club. However, with Ajax, he also won the Holland Cup, but all this did not prevent him from moving in the summer of 2011 for six million euros to Moscow Spartak.
Spartak period and rental
In โSpartacusโ de Zeuve spent only one and a half seasons, as the club clearly expected more from the Dutchman. Having played 33 matches and scoring three goals, Demi went on loan to the Belgian Anderlecht, where he scored three goals in 26 matches. When he returned to Spartak, the contract was not extended with him, and de Zeuv remained unemployed until in February 2015 the Dutch Breda offered him a short-term contract. For the new club, de Zeuve played 12 matches, scored two goals, and then in the summer of 2015 announced his retirement.
