All people are different - this is no secret to anyone. In one personality, both positive aspects of the character and negative can get along. Now I want to talk about what human vices exist.
What is a vice?
First of all, you need to decide on the concepts. So, what are the vices and virtues of man? They must be considered together, because they are a reflection of each other, different sides of the same coin. These are the negative and positive aspects of a person’s character, which are manifested in his deeds and actions. These character traits form not only the life of one person, but also affect others, therefore, they can significantly change the lives of loved ones both in the positive direction - virtues, and the negative - vices.
About sculptures
If you want to look closely at all the vices of mankind, you should go to Moscow and visit Bolotnaya Square. It was there, in 2001, that a series of monuments was opened dedicated to the negative aspects of human nature. This composition is called "Children - Victims of Adult Vices." Two children play hide and seek, and they are surrounded by 13 three-meter-tall sculptures with the heads of fish or animals. As the author Mikhail Shemyakin said, this was done on purpose, because it is customary to depict human vices in hypertrophied images. Monuments are arranged in a strict order. Among them one can find theft, prostitution, drug addiction, ignorance, alcoholism, false scholarship, sadism, indifference, propaganda of violence, exploitation of child labor, war and poverty. One monument is for the unconscious.
Indifference
If you ask a person to highlight the main vices of a person, for example, five, he thinks. And it is worth saying that no one will have a single answer. After all, the choice is an individual matter. For some, one vice will be the most terrible, while someone will treat him condescendingly. However, a huge number of people agree that the first and most important vice is still indifference. This lack of empathy with their own kind, that is, people and all other representatives of the living world. This trait is inherent in most murderers and rapists, it creates unrest, permissiveness and impunity.
Deceit
The next vice of man is deceit. Which, today, by the way, is often considered almost an advantage. After all, to earn, for example, a lot of money in the modern world can only be a hoax. However, it is worth saying that a lying person never cares about the feelings of others, he is inattentive. “Having lied once - and will deceive the second time” - everyone should remember this saying.
Sale
This is a perfectly masked vice of a person who is not so easy to recognize. Often it manifests itself in special situations in life, when you need to provide protection and rear. Agree, he is most terrible in wartime?
Animal
This vice characterizes people who live exclusively for themselves, satisfying all their "animals", primary needs. Often they are stupid and ignorant.
Greed
Another very terrible vice of man is greed. It can be just a combination of money, or a thirst for the accumulation of wealth, a desire to own as many values and material wealth as possible. Such people never share anything, and a sense of generosity is simply alien to them.
Hypocrisy
The next vice of a person, which, by the way, is sometimes very difficult to recognize. Hypocritical people in each situation choose a position convenient for themselves in order to derive maximum benefit. Such persons put on a “mask” to look better in the eyes of the “right” people than they really are.
Envy
The next vice of man is envy. Often manifested in hostility and hostility towards a person who has reached great heights. Someone else's well-being eclipses the mind of an envious person and puts him into a constant state of dissatisfaction with himself and his wealth.
Cruelty
A terrible vice, which is inherent in rapists, murderers and other criminal personalities. It is expressed in the desire or need to hurt all living things (not only people, but also animals). They hurt not only from the physical side, for example, beatings, but also from the psychological side - sometimes the moral pressure is much more difficult to bear ... If the object of cruelty is bad, the tormentor experiences satisfaction and some semblance of joy.
Anger
When considering human vices, one should not ignore malice. Some people are embittered by everyone and everything, they are irritable, often swear and be rude.
Cunning
The next vice is cunning (today it is also viewed by some people in a positive sense). This means that a person can contrive and contrive so much that he gets maximum benefit for himself, often to the detriment of others.
Selfishness
A certain overestimation of the significance of one's own person in comparison with others. It can be expressed in a scornful attitude towards other people, to their interests.
Impudence
Another vice of a person, which manifests itself in disrespect, contempt for the interlocutor. It can be accompanied by rude gestures, swearing speech. Such behavior is characteristic of types who feel their impunity and superiority.
Vanity
This is a person’s desire to attract attention in any way, even if negative behavior. Such characters like to hear eulogies addressed to them, they wish to climb the pedestal during their lifetime. Often empty boasters behave this way.
Opposites
It is worth saying that all these are acquired defects. A person is born tabula rasa - a clean board on which the immediate environment (parents and society) write their own reviews, as they say today. In adulthood, a person can get rid of all his vices and turn them into virtues. So, compassion, deceit - honesty, venality - fidelity, greed - generosity, hypocrisy - sincerity, envy - joy, cruelty - tenderness, anger - kindness, cunning - straightforwardness, egoism - dedication, arrogance - humility, and vanity - modesty answer indifference . But working on yourself is one of the most difficult ...
