Pork is easily digested, it has a lot of protein (which is very useful for nursing mothers), and elements such as zinc and iron make pork useful for patients with vascular diseases. Pork also has a positive effect on “male power”. If we know so much good about it, then how to cook pork in the oven so that all family members like it?
You can, of course, fry, but then it becomes greasy and excessively harmful. And boiled or steamed pork, as a rule, is quite fresh. But in the oven it will become very tasty, and with proper dexterity, it will retain most of its positive properties. Here are a couple of simple but good recipes for pork.
How to cook pork in the oven with potatoes
The simplest and most easily accessible recipe is pork in spices, which is better to cook with potatoes. Pour olive oil in a saucer and mix salt, pepper and two or three kinds of spices in it. Usually use parsley, dill, marjoram, you can add crushed garlic. Pork fillet is cut into medium slices of three to four centimeters in thickness. In the resulting mixture, you need to roll both pork and sliced potatoes. You can just put the pork on a baking sheet, but then the meat can dry out a little. It is better to use pots, and even more preferably - a cauldron. The meat and potatoes are placed in it, the remaining sauce is poured, and put in the oven for about 40-45 minutes. Bake the dish at a temperature of 190 degrees.
How to cook pork in the oven in sweet sauce
Pork ribs are considered a real delicacy. We advise you to cook them in a sweet sauce, although sweet meat, of course, is not for everybody. First you need to prepare the ribs, rub them with salt and pepper, and then put them on the appropriate size pan and pour in a sweet sauce made from one part of applesauce, one part of ketchup and three parts of brown sugar (the usual one also works). For one part, half a glass is taken. All the ingredients need to be mixed well and add a little lemon juice, paprika and cinnamon. Before putting the ribs on a baking sheet, you need to let them stand for 30 minutes in a cold place. You need to bake the dish in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees for one hour.
How to cook pork in the oven in foil
Very tasty, and most importantly useful, will be meat baked in foil. Pure pork fillet weighing 500-700 grams is coated with salt and pepper. Then, long cuts are made in the meat, into which pieces of carrot and onion are inserted. You can also stuff meat with slices of garlic, sprigs of marjoram, paprika or basil. The pork so stuffed in this way is wrapped with foil, leaving free space for the broth that is formed during baking. Cook the pork in the oven at a sufficiently high temperature, about 180-200 degrees for about an hour and a half. The pork is very juicy, and the broth can be used as a sauce for the side dish. All nutrients will remain in the meat and broth. It turns out lean and very tasty.
How to cook pork in the microwave
You need to take a pork shoulder with skin (800 grams), rinse, dry, grate with salt and sprinkle with pepper. Then you need to make neat cuts in the form of a mesh. The depth of cuts is 1 centimeter. After that, put the meat in the microwave for 10 minutes. You do not need to cover the dish yet. The temperature should be 180 degrees, and the microwave power should be 50 percent. While the meat is being cooked, peel and chop vegetables and herbs. We take one carrot, a large onion, celery root, several cloves of garlic and herbs. Add vegetables to the meat, pour a glass of water and cover with a lid. After 15 minutes, remove the pork from the microwave, remove from the pan, cover with foil and let stand for about ten minutes.
