Projects and construction

At first, the station was planned to open in September 2014. Then the deadlines were postponed to the last quarter of 2015. And even later - for 2016.

The total construction period lasted from 2012 to 2016 inclusive.

Construction began at the end of 2011, when surveys were carried out, sites were fenced, distillation tunnels were laid, for which the drilling and blasting method was used.

At the end of 2013, work began on the creation of an inclined path of the station. In this case, soil freezing was used.

04/30/2014 the construction site was visited by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. He went down to the work zone and there he heard a report on the state of affairs and the immediate prospects. In particular, the work on the central hall.

In April 2015, the bulk of the tunneling work was completed. Distillation tunnels were ready by March 2016. And at night from September 11 to September 12 of the same year, an experimental train proceeded through the new station. After another 4 days, Butyrskaya was opened for train traffic. Thus, the Butyrskaya metro station was opened in September 2016. After this event, the Moscow Metro began to count 203 stations.

Lobbies

The station has 2 vestibules. Immediately after the opening, only one worked. The southern lobby was still being completed, and it only opened on 12/30/2016, while the northern lobby has been working since the opening. The lobby is well glazed. The color of the unglazed part is green, light green. Near the lobby, everything is tiled, there is very little greenery, and there are no trees at all.

Transport accessibility

Immediately after the opening of the station, vehicles did not approach it. However, by the end of September, after the completion of road works, 3 bus routes were connected to it: 12, 19, 126. On New Year’s, another one was added: 239. And from 10.02.2018, a bus with route t29 passes by the station.

Half a kilometer from the exit is the Ostankino railway platform. It belongs to the Leningrad direction. A little further is the famous Ostankino television center.

Station decoration

According to the characteristics of the metro station “Butyrskaya” refers to the deep-laying stations of the pylon type, three-vaulted. It does not stand out among other similar stations in this area of Moscow. It looks stylish, but without much luxury. Its distinctive feature is the presence of brown marble in the pylon lining. For lighting, cornice lamps are used.

Escalators are very long, in total there are 4 pieces: two on the rise and two on the descent. They are well lit. There are 3 ticket offices at the station. There are vending machines for buying tickets and working with plastic cards.

When designing the station, only domestic materials were used, both by production and by origin. In particular, Sayan marble was used in the cladding.

Thanks to the installation of white shields in front of the lighting lamps, the lighting at the station is soft and even. An information desk is installed in the center.

Thus, the Butyrskaya station is one of the most modern in the Moscow metro.
