Summarized accounting of working time: concept and some features.

Everyone knows that there are types of work for which it is problematic to establish a standard eight-hour working day for the whole month, therefore, the Russian Labor Code provides for a cumulative record of working hours. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that the employee can stay at the workplace, for example, during the day, and in the next two days not to go to work at all. He can work more than forty hours a week. At the same time, the total number of hours worked per working month should not exceed or be lower than the set number of working hours for each specific accounting period from one month to a year (but not more than a year). It is also forbidden to attract an employee to work 2 shifts in a row. In this case, days off are considered to be days indicated in the work schedules of workers of this category as non-working, and holidays in the generally accepted sense, on the contrary, may turn out to be working days.

Employers who decide to introduce a shift work schedule run the risk of breaking the law due to the possibility of overwork. Therefore, personnel officers recommend a summarized accounting of working time.

Summarized accounting of working time can be introduced within the organization - the rules of their own (internal) labor schedule. This is done on the basis of the order of the head, however, such a decision should be agreed with the representative bodies of the company. If the internal rules did not initially provide for the summarized accounting of working time, but after some period the need arose to introduce it, amendments to the above rules are allowed.

The only case in which the law of the Russian Federation provides for compulsory summarized recording of working time is a shift work schedule, when work is carried out far from the employee's permanent place of residence, and the employee cannot return home every day.

Keeping a time sheet requires a particularly careful approach and care, because for different participants in the team (unit), the duration of work can be different, and it is important to accurately take into account the hours worked for each employee for the right pay.

The rules for filling out the time sheet state that you should be guided by the shift schedule agreed with the employees for the accounting period. For the employee, the official salary is established, and if he has worked all the shifts provided for by the shift schedule for the reporting month, he will be charged a full salary. If during the month the employee worked less than the norm, then his salary should be proportional to the share of working out the norm. Thus, the salary from month to month may vary. In accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation, the person responsible for filling out the time sheet must show the hours actually worked, and not the norm. It is worth adhering to this rule by entering alphabetic designations into the timesheet - codes.

When filling out the time sheet, if the organization keeps a total record of working hours, it is necessary to adhere to simple rules. Firstly, the appearance at the workplace and leaving it should be recorded throughout the organization or its structural divisions. Adding a new employee to the time sheet is carried out on the basis of an admission order, employment contract or contract. Thirdly, each employee is assigned a unique personnel number, which is retained by the employee if he is transferred to another position. In the event of dismissal, the personnel number of the dismissed employee is not given to another employee for two years.
