For a soldier, this attribute was often simply irreplaceable. And today the officer’s tablet does not lose its significance. This is a highly specialized bag designed for specific tasks.

The officer’s tablet allows you to always keep the card at hand, while reliably protecting it from moisture. Most often they are made of leather or high quality leatherette. In addition to cards, pens, pencils, a ruler, a compass, and various documents are also worn on tablets. Currently, this type of ammunition is used less and less. In general, an officer’s tablet is a universal accessory designed for use in the field. However, as already mentioned, they can use it not only in military operations, but, for example, also in sports or tourism. Of great importance is the material from which the tablets are made. Most often it is genuine leather. Therefore, any things that are in the bag, remain reliably protected from moisture. Maps and diagrams in traveling conditions are completely safe.
The tablet consists of two compartments. One of them is made of transparent plastic - for various documentation. The second is for a variety of accessories. There is another folding compartment in the tablet. It is equipped with special holders for pens, pencils, rulers, eraser, curvimeter and other items. For carrying in hands on the tablet there is a short strap, for carrying on a shoulder or neck - a long one, adjustable specifically for all kinds of needs.

An officer bag-tablet of the 1935 model is familiar to every military man. In part, such models began to arrive in 1936. They were made, as a rule, of high-quality black leather with a granular surface that does not allow glare. Civilian tablets were also used by soldiers. There were also trophy specimens. At the end of the war, the main colors of the tablets were brown and green. On the back of the upper valve, the year of manufacture and the manufacturer's stamp were affixed. These tablets were used by officers, non-commissioned officers, artillery observers, the military gendarmerie, signalmen, couriers and other military personnel in accordance with their occupation.

And finally. Officer's tablet - a rectangular rectangular leather attribute is most often brown or black. Its upper part is closed by a valve with a buckle strap. Previously, in some cases, a bracket could be used.
Under the flap are seven cells designed for pencils, and several pockets for rulers. Inside the tablet is divided into two compartments using a partition. In one of the compartments, cards are stored in a protective case made of two transparent celluloid sheets fastened together by a leather frame.
Carry a tablet if desired also on the belt. In this case, the belt is threaded through loops sewn to its rear wall. It is allowed to carry the tablet on the strap, throwing it over the right shoulder. According to the charter, it must be in front of the left or on the hip.
