Radio factory, Kyshtym: creation history, products and enterprise economics, address and reviews

You can talk a lot about radio. It is not easy to imagine modern life without the much-needed invention. The radio is broadcasting. Radio has many channels, frequencies, waves, names. Radio consists of many parts, circuits, electronic components. Radio electronics is the basis of modern instrumentation: acoustic, antenna, electro and thermoelectric, information and others. Technological progress is impossible without such devices; the demand for products is constantly growing.

Radio novelties are created in laboratories, and mass-produced at special enterprises, including at the sites of the radio factory in Kyshtym, Chelyabinsk Region. There are many similar plants in Russia, but Kyshtymsky was luckier than the rest. The company at one time worthily emerged from the difficulties of perestroika and since then has maintained a steady course for success.

A little about Kyshtym

The city, which received the status of the country's copper heart, has several leading enterprises, including mining, engineering and copper electrolyte production. In Kyshtym, good conditions for small business, well-developed infrastructure.

Geo benefits

Over the long years of work, Kyshtym JSC has gained fame and popularity as a dynamically developing city-forming enterprise. The investment attractiveness of the plant is due in part to the economic and geographical factors of the territorial location of Kyshtym. The advantages here are obvious:

  • convenient transport links with Yekaterinburg and Chelyabinsk;
  • availability of scientific and labor personnel;
  • rich industrial potential;
  • the presence of a large number of deposits ready for mining: graphite and kaolin, limestone and quartz, muscovite and brick clay, facing and building stones;
  • development of the social sphere.

Stages of formation

The prehistory of the appearance of a radio factory in Kyshtym is invisibly connected with the two events that preceded it: the transformation of the industrialist Demidov and a man-made accident in the nearby town of Ozersk, at the Mayak plant, in 1957. The first fact gave a start to successful entrepreneurship, the second - building construction. Having launched vigorous activity immediately after the disaster, the new radio plant gave people faith in tomorrow.

The first factory pipe rose into the sky in the summer of 1958. The following year, one of the new buildings entered service. Director of the enterprise N.V. Dubrovin immediately followed everything: construction of buildings, stretching of an ingenious water supply, organization of production. Plastering the premises and work on the first order had to be combined. The first five "Compasses" - direction finders for airfields were published in the spring of 1960. Since then, April 4 has become the plant's official birthday.

One after another, production facilities were handed over: main and auxiliary workshops, departments, laboratories, design bureaus - a lot of work was waiting for them ...

Where did the "Bees" come from?

With the opening of new workshops at the radio factory in Kyshtym, the number of defense orders increased. Also, the production of consumer radio products was adjusted. So, in the 60s and 70s appeared:

  • Products 258 - radar devices for the Tu-28, designed for missile guidance (1963).
  • "Bees" - devices with small dimensions. They were installed on board the target drones, they were used to control from the ground (at the beginning of the 21st century, the Bee drone appeared).
  • Memory blocks for MiGs. A thousand or more finest hairs were soldered to them manually.
  • "Passwords" are recognition systems for airborne equipment with fourteen printed circuit boards each.
  • Radiola "Rest" and "Brigantine."
  • The legendary receiver "Quartz" (formerly "Falcon").

In the mid-70s, an interesting order came to the plant together with the new thirty-five-year-old director M. L. Anisimov, literally shaking the staff with its unusualness. It turns out that the young innovative leader specifically procured a new idea to captivate the factory workers. ASDT is a product of complex thermostating of gyroscopes related to ballistic missiles installed on a submarine. The main interest in people was caused by the marine theme. The restless strict "captain" took a confident course on the social welfare of the factory workers. With the involvement of labor and largely material factory resources, the following were built and reconstructed:

  • dining room for nine hundred seats;
  • Radiomechanical College of Kyshtym;
  • club "Builder", combining creative groups and youth;
  • DC "Victory";
  • residential area of the radio factory;
  • TV tower (161 m): at the initiative of the radio factory, all enterprises merged.

"Through hardship to the stars"

The perestroika crisis did not spare anyone. He swiftly rushed around the country, breaking the strong economy of enterprises, destroying the hopes and well-being of the people. What was the leader to do, from whom subordinates expected at least a little help? It was necessary to act. Such responsibility fell at the time on the shoulders of Viktor Alekseevich Markin. The new director, by hook or by crook, bold decisions and deeds, defended the plant and people in the difficult 90s. He is today the director of the Kyshtym radio plant.

Stability began to return in 2007. Orders began to be received at the plant for instruments for the space industry, navigation equipment, optical instruments accompanying aircraft landing, and also for systems responsible for telemetry of rocket complexes. Resumed production of household receivers, intercoms, radio stations, selectors for channel TV, chargers and blocks for wheelchairs.

Modern radio electronics

What the plant lives today

The plant collects equipment for the military industry. The most important customer is the Ministry of the Russian Federation. OJSC “Kyshtym Radio Plant” manufactures products for the navy, aviation and other strategic entities. Over the years, it has been producing sophisticated Piers equipment - an electronic on-board system for determining the location of ships during sailing.

Part of the production is automated, but something is not trusted in the machines. Employees assemble complex microchips manually. The plant does not lose a high standard in the electronics market, monitors the high quality of products and timely delivery of products to the customer.

Much is being done for the social and material well-being of employees. The following measures are envisaged:

  • decent salary, bonus and indexation;
  • preferential meals in the dining room;
  • recreation at the base with a 50% discount;
  • patronage of the school, two kindergartens and other facilities;
  • maintenance on the balance of the sports stadium, the Palace of Culture, recreation facilities;
  • support for young employees and much more.

Company News

The Kyshtym radio plant does not stop in development - it masters the production of new products:

  • ball valves with radio control, necessary in the gas, oil industry, municipal engineering;
  • devices for medicine, for example an electronic tomograph developed jointly with specialists from the city of Snezhinsk.

In recent years, production volumes have been increased tenfold due to the modernization of factory facilities. Much attention is paid to the environmental friendliness of technological processes.

The place of rest for factory workers

A relaxed place for employees in the fresh air has been landscaped: cozy benches, sidewalks, a star-shaped gazebo, an impromptu entrance group. If we consider the entire structure as a whole, then it resembles an airplane. After all, it is with flights, with sky, with airspace that transmits streams of radio waves, the main defense mission of the enterprise is connected.

Reviews and vacancies

The stability of the enterprise and development prospects contribute to the preservation of the core staff. Only certain positions have vacancies. The Kyshtym radio plant invites competent specialists to work in a friendly team of a defense enterprise: engineers, foundry workers, milling machines, turners, electricians, controllers.

Guests and settlers of Kyshtym speak warmly of a small but very cozy city. Many say that people with a special mentality live in this unusual place in the Southern Urals. Everywhere you feel warmth and hospitality. They come from both cafe workers and drivers on the roads. This, according to most visitors, greatly facilitates a stay in a new place. Kyshtym is a very hospitable city.

In the factory floor

The plant invites customers to cooperate, waits for finished products by consumers, offers interesting vacancies to those who are looking for work. The main thing is to find your niche.
