In October last year, the Apple mini-tablet was introduced on the laptop market. His appearance became possible only after the death of the founder of the corporation, Steve Jobs. He believed that "apple" laptops should have a screen size of at least 10 inches. Otherwise, applications designed specifically for
devices manufactured by the company will not work correctly, with crashes and freezes. But market prospects forced today's management to release an Apple mini-tablet. Release and make no mistake.
The technical characteristics of the "little brother" are not particularly different from full-format tablets. By and large, they come down to two features that made this tablet less popular. Mini Apple received reviews, full of disappointment. The reason for this is the installed IPS matrix. The previous version in its design had Retina, about which users leave more flattering comments. However, the display gives a pretty colorful picture with its expansion of 1264x768 pixels. In the reviews, there are no negative characteristics of multitouch properties. The tablet works confidently, does not lose to its full-sized competitors in response speed, does not freeze. The display is protected by a special layer called
oleophobic. It helps protect your screen from fingerprints. Another difference is the charger connector. Firstly, none of the other from earlier models is now suitable for charging. And secondly, only a
digital signal perceives such a connector

Of course, the Apple mini-tablet has obvious differences from previous models. This is the weight (308-312 grams), dimensions (200x135x7.2 millimeters). Such characteristics allow you to conveniently fix the laptop in the palm of your hand and work on it for a long time. The latter symptom is supported by a rather powerful and economical battery that allows you to use the device for several hours in a row.
The Apple mini-tablet is equipped with a dual-core processor with an integrated graphics chip, which quite adequately processes and presents any
graphic information. The flash memory of the tablet is presented in the usual formats of 16, 32 and 64 GB.
The Apple mini-tablet does not differ from its “older” colleagues by the location of stereo speakers (on the lower edge of the device), connectors for the headphone and microphone plugs, and a place for the on and off button (upper edge of the device). On the front panel, just like on other Apple models, there is a camera lens and a Home button. On the right edge of the tablet is the volume control and image lock.
The Apple mini-tablet, the price of which did not surprise the mass buyer, while remaining constant for a laptop of this class, looks solid, despite its small size. The tablet is presented in several colors of the case. Minimalism gives the device aristocracy.
By October 2013, the company introduced on the market a more modified version of mini-tablets - Apple iPad mini 2. Unlike its predecessor, this device has a display with a higher expansion - 2048x1536 pixels, a more advanced camera. Manufacturers have increased the data transfer rate to 300 Mb / s. Sale of new items is expected from November 2013.
