Rasim Tagirbekov was born on May 4, 1984 in Makhachkala, it was there that he began to play football, and quite early on. He was watched at the football academy of the local club Anji, where he was accepted. Rasim spent all his youth there - trained, developed, played for the youth teams of the Makhachkala club of different age levels, until in 2002 he was offered a professional contract. Naturally, Rasim Tagirbekov agreed and became a full-fledged player in the club - this began his long history of cooperation with his native team.
Career at Anji
Rasim Tagirbekov, whose biography revolves exclusively around Anji, is one of those players who give their whole life to one team. In the case of Tagirbekov, it was Anji - in 2003 he made his debut in the main club, and since 2004 he became a base player. In the same year, he marked the first goal for the team, which then played in the second strongest division in Russia. Tagirbekov spent six full seasons at Anji before the club was able to win in its league and get promoted to the Premier League - this happened in 2009. By that time, Rasim had 195 matches and 15 goals for Anji. When the team received a promotion, he remained an important member of the core team. In the first season in the Higher League, he entered the field 29 times and scored two goals. Already in 2012, the team was able to rise to a fairly high level and won a place in Eurocups, and the 12/13 season was the peak in Tagirbekov’s career. Anji took third place in the Russian Championship and reached the final of the Russian Cup.
But this was followed by a catastrophic recession, and by 2014, Anji was again in the second division. But Tagirbekov by that time already received significantly less playing practice - in the 13/14 season he entered the field only 12 times, and in the 14/15 season - only eight in general. In the 15/16 season, he never appeared in the starting lineup and did not replace him, and in March 2016 his agreement with the club came to an end, the cooperation was not extended. So the footballer who spent his entire career in the club and played 308 matches for him was unemployed. Tagirbekov himself could not find a new team, so today he remains in the status of a free agent.
