Metro Domodedovo in Moscow

Arriving from a city, or even less a village, in which they had only heard about the metro and seen on TVs, a person is involuntarily confused, being in this web. A huge number of people, the noise created by both passengers and equipment operating in the subway, trains arriving at the station with enviable regularity - all this will appear before the newcomer only as chaos. But having mastered himself, he begins to notice strict organization and unconditional convenience for passengers traveling long distances in the city behind this chaos. Well, if this city is Moscow! ..

Moscow, how much in this word

Moscow! Capital! Megalopolis! This city is perceived not by Muscovites, who, although they love it, all the time emphasize how they would like to live somewhere away from the endless bustle, from these high-rises, roads and other things, which the visitor from the province looks reverently at charm. Do you believe them?

Convenience and speed

Imagine that you need to get from point "A", which is located in the south of Moscow to point "B" in the north. Presented? Can you imagine what you will do by ground public transport? Probably not. Not that this is impossible, but, given the scale of the city and the lack of time that always accompanies it, any sane person will go to the subway, to the subway. And rightly so.

After all, the Moscow Metro is a well and properly structured economy, the purpose of which is to provide citizens with the opportunity to carry out this hypothetical trip quickly and meet the schedule set out in advance.

Moscow subway

Historical excursion

It's hard to believe, but the history of the Moscow Metro can be traced back to 1875. An engineer Titov proposed a project for the construction of an underground railway from the Kursk Station to the Marina Grove. The site was supposed to be laid through Lubyanskaya and Trubnaya squares.

True, then the construction was refused, citing economic feasibility. Who would have thought! The next step taken in this direction was the submission in 1897 of a project for passenger traffic in the tunnel. The options presented later led to the fact that the construction of the Moscow Ring Road, begun in 1902, was completed in 1907.

Moscow. Metro "Domodedovo"

Among many other stations, there is one that bears the name "Domodedovo". The Domodedovo metro station is part of the Zamoskvoretskaya line and is located between the Orekhovo and Krasnogvardeiskaya stations. Geographically, it is located in the region of Orekhovo-Borisovo South. The opening of the Domodedovskaya metro station took place on September 7, 1985. True, after a while it had to be closed. After eliminating the hydraulic problems, shortly before the onset of 1986, the Domodedovskaya metro station again began its functional duties.

Station from the inside

The design of the station is based on a typical project of prefabricated unified reinforced concrete structures with a laying depth of nine and a half meters. In two rows at the station are columns. There are 26 in each row. They are part of the architectural design of the Domodedovo metro station.

White and gray marble, which are the facing material of the columns, harmoniously emphasize the artistic decision of the designers. The side walls are lined with striped gray marble. Copper panels with flying planes are fixed on them.

Well, the floor ... On it flaunts an ornament of black and gray granite. The exits from the Domodedovskaya metro station are located in four directions, thereby helping to avoid ground crossings. They lead to Kashirsky highway, on Orekhovy Boulevard and ul. General Belov.

Aircraft first thing

The name of the station is directly related to the city of Domodedovo in the Moscow Region and to the Airport with the same name. Both in the city and in the airport from the Domodedovo metro station there is ground transportation. But! In the design documentation, they say, the name "Borisovo" appears. And this is not surprising, given the location of the station.

How to get there

It remains only to find out how to get to the Domodedovskaya metro station. Whatever line you are on, the easiest way to be on it is the Circle Line. It intersects with almost everyone else and, having reached it to the Paveletskaya ring station, following the signs in the underpasses, you will find yourself at the Paveletskaya station. Having chosen the desired direction, namely, to the Krasnogvardeiskaya or Alma-Ata stations, you will inevitably find yourself at the Domodedovo station.

Moscow metro scheme

I would like to warn that some trains do not reach it. True, there is nothing to worry about, since by leaving at the Kolomenskaya station you can catch the train next to Domodedovo.

The second way is to find places where your branch intersects with green (namely, by this color you need to navigate on the trip), and transfer to the station adjacent to the one where you are in order to get to your destination.
