This extension is a standard image file that was archived. This procedure allows you to significantly reduce the size of the source file, so that several games or programs are placed in one archive at once. In addition, the isz extension supports the encryption of sensitive information. So if you do not want to open free access to a particular file, the problem will be solved. In iso format files, this is not possible, despite the fact that, in fact, they are the same isz extension, only before compression.
The only difference between the archived isz and the regular archive is its narrow focus. This may only contain disk images. This method of storing information is especially convenient for people who simultaneously hold many games or movies on their hard drives. It should be noted that the isz extension appeared not so long ago and has not yet gained wide popularity. But everything goes to the point that soon it will replace more cumbersome file storage options in view of its convenience and significant space savings.
How to open isz file
Many programs have been created to work with image extensions. The most popular of them recognize not only one specific type of file, but several at once. This is done so that users do not have to download a new utility each time, and they give their preference to one, but universal. Many of the emulator programs are compatible with isz. Among them are Alcohol, UltraISO and Daemon Tools. Moreover, the latter is distributed in two versions - full and lite.
It is much easier in this case to use the Lite version of Daemon Tools. Moreover, most people do not really like to understand the many settings offered in the advanced version of the emulator.

Downloading the program is best on the official website, as the lite version is distributed freely. Double-clicking on the installation file icon, we wait for the window to open. There is nothing complicated in the installation process itself, you can safely leave the path and default settings. Do not forget to close unnecessary programs before this, saving all the important information, since immediately after installation the computer will need to restart.
After the process is completed, another drive should appear in the removable media section. The icon of the virtual drive is no different from the usual one, and the principle of operation is very similar. Please note that in some cases you have to create a new drive yourself. To do this, open the installed program and find the “Add Drive” button in the tool section. Then at the bottom of the window will appear SCSI-drive, with which we have to work.
Open isz-extension now is not difficult. It is enough to drag the shortcut of the downloaded image into the active Daemon Tools window (directly onto the image of the virtual drive that appears). Usually after that the autostart function is activated. Then you will have to perform the same actions as usual after starting the game from disk.
