Virus in contact: what to do?

Every day, more and more users complain that they have a virus in contact. Where did he come from and how to drive him away?

Once, by going to a social network on your account, you find a bright colorful window that blocks the familiar interface. Such windows can vary both in design and in textual information, but the essence is the same - they are trying to accuse you of spamming. In order to unlock the profile, you are sent to such an address (in the sense, it is strongly recommended that you click on the link provided). In fact, this is nothing more than a virus in contact. If you go where you were sent, you will see another window where you are invited to send SMS from your mobile, and do it completely free. Do not send messages anywhere for any carriages, otherwise you will lose a good part of your balance on the phone, and rubles (as practice shows, in the amount of 200 to 600-800 rubles) will safely settle in the scammer’s virtual pocket.

But sitting idly by is not worth it, since once there is a window of this kind on your page, it means you already picked up a virus, most likely a Trojan, which today simply blocked access to your contact, and tomorrow it paralyzes all the work of the computer .

If you have a virus in contact, urgently bring your computer device to a service so that it can be diagnosed and cured.

You can also try to cope with the problem yourself if you can’t wait to look at your account on the social network. So, if the virus blocked the profile in the contact, then you should pay attention to the file called "hosts". As a rule, the virus in contact changes just its contents. It’s easy to find the sought. We go to drive C, look for a folder called "WINDOWS", in it - a folder "system32", then a folder "drivers". Find the name “etc” in the last folder. Here in it is the desired "hosts", which is a file without an extension. Note that the file may be hidden, then it will not be displayed in the explorer. In this case, you must enable the function of displaying these hidden files in the system settings.

Now check the attributes of the hosts file by clicking on Properties. If it says that the file is read-only, then this attribute must be removed. Now open “hosts” using some text editor and with an unbroken hand start deleting everything that comes across, except for the entry “127.0.0.1 localhost”.

However, a situation may arise when a virus in a contact blocks access to this file. Then it makes sense to do all of the above, but boot from the Live-CD. Instead of editing the “hosts” file, you can simply delete it.

The changes that you made to the system should take effect without restarting the computer, so immediately try to log into the social network again.

The virus may act differently. If "hosts" is empty, then check in your browser settings if a proxy is registered. Having opened the Explorer, open the “Tools” menu, then “Internet Options”, then “Connections” and, finally, “Network Settings”. If something is written in the field called “Address” - mercilessly delete it.

If none of the above helped you, then on your virtual path there was a rarer and, of course, a more "thought out" virus. In this case, experts will help you find the answer to the question of how to remove the virus in a contact .

If you succeeded and you still managed to log into your profile in contact, do not rush to rejoice. The virus may still reside and live on your computer system. For final and irrevocable removal, we strongly recommend that you use such healing utilities as Kaspersky Removal Tool or CureIT, which you need to download only from official manufacturers sites, in this case, from Kaspersky Lab and, accordingly, from Doctor Web.

Always remember that preventing a problem is a much easier process than solving it. Remember about virus prevention - install a good antivirus on your computer, disable the autorun function from a USB flash drive, don’t wander through unknown links that your friends and strangers send you, and in no case enter your data on third-party resources, even if you are very -very requested.
