Lion Hunting in Africa

The hunt for the mighty king of animals is considered by many to be the most interesting, but they do not deny that this is the most dangerous form of fishing. This huge wild cat has excellent eyesight and a sense of smell, is endowed with a natural flair, and the lion is a wonderful hunter himself. He can instantly turn from prey to striker. Given that during an attack the pursuing lion develops speed up to 60 kilometers per hour, it becomes clear that the daredevil on foot has no chance to hide.

Especially dangerous is the hunt for a lion already wounded. He is desperately fighting for his own life and is capable of destroying everything in his path. But can a real hunter defeat the desire to triumph over this powerful and intelligent animal?

Lion hunting is especially widespread in Africa - Tanzania, Mozambique, Cameroon, Zimbabwe and South Africa. To do this, you must first obtain a license, but it is very difficult to do. They are issued very few, and, as a rule, they are disassembled for years to come. You need to know this when coming to Africa. And do not forget that for a killed lioness you will have to pay more than $ 7,000 (depending on the age of the animal), and a lion will cost you fifty-five thousand dollars (including the price of a license).

Hunting in Africa is usually designed for seven to twenty days. Try to get a license for a maximum period so as not to return home without a trophy. However, you will not be left without prey - a huge number of ungulates and other local animals that are allowed to hunt are simply amazing.

If you flew to Africa to hunt, then do not expect that you will be accommodated in a five-star apartment. Most likely, you will be placed in standard hunting camps, usually quite comfortable. All hunters are always accompanied by a professional. The success of the entire enterprise directly depends on this person. With him you can discuss the cost of the trophy, and he will pick up the beast according to the data received.

Lion hunting is done in several ways. The most common is on bait, or, as hunters say, on bait. It may be the carcass of an ungulate, which is hung high enough so that a lion can get it, but, for example, a hyena - no. Privad will need a few. This will increase the chance of getting a trophy, but at the same time it does not always guarantee a successful hunt. Be sure to take care of a reliable shelter - the lions are very careful, sensing the slightest danger, they will not approach the barn.

Hunting for a lion can be carried out in another way - along the trail (or tracking). This method is dangerous for the hunter. There is a chance of an unexpected meeting with a predator, and if the animal shows aggression, your chances of hiding from it will be zero. The weapon in your hands will not save you either - the attack of the lion is lightning fast, and you will not have the opportunity to use the barrel.

Lion hunting is physically difficult, dangerous and long enough. But this is what attracts hunters. It allows you to test the strength of your spirit, and victory over the king of beasts gives a feeling of superiority.

If you are going to hunt lions in Zambia, we want to note that you are late, this type of hunting is prohibited in the country.
