Biography

Evgeny Zhuk was born on February 2, 1976 in Minsk, the Belarusian Soviet Socialist Republic (now the Republic of Belarus). Eugene met football at an early age. His first games were held within the yard with the neighboring guys. In school years, his parents took him to the football section, where soon the guy began to show good results. Over the years, the guy was building up his football experience and soon found himself at the disposal of the Minsk club Dynamo Uni. Here he made his professional debut in 1994. Over the three seasons spent here in the local championship, Evgeny Zhuk took part in 42 matches and scored one goal.

First transfers

In 1997, he joined the Belarusian Torpedo Minsk, in which he spent only one season. In general, Zhuk spent 10 official matches in the Belarusian Premier League major league for the “car manufacturers” and did not score a single goal.

The next season, Evgeny Zhuk spent in the club “Luninets” from the city of the same name in the Minsk region. As part of the team, he played 29 matches. In 2000, he fell into the interests of the coaching staff of the Polish club Orlen, to which Yevgeny subsequently transferred. However, here too, playing properly did not work. The player spent less than half a season in Oren and spent only 6 official games.

Lithuanian Championship Season

The start of the 2001/2002 football season for the Belarusian football player was marked by a new transfer. This time, Eugene Zhuk became an object of interest for the legendary Lithuanian club Zalgiris (Vilnius city). The season spent here turned out to be quite successful, albeit without trophies. The Belarusian midfielder played 34 matches for the club and helped the team get fourth place in the Lithuanian Higher Championship following the season (Lithuania’s first football division).

Football Club Wandering

The 2002/2003 season was not very successful for the Belarusian football player. First, Eugene signed an agreement with the Lithuanian club “Suduva” from the city of Moriampole (the eternal rivals of the club “Zalgiris”). However, Eugene only had time to train as part of the representatives of Suwalkia. Having not played a single match here, the player returns to his homeland, where he signs a contract with MTZ-RIPO from Minsk (now the football club is called Partizan). Here he plays out the 2002/03 season - spent 31 matches and was marked by one single goal.

In 2004, Eugene Zhuk broke all records for the number of transitions in clubs. In the 2004/2005 season, he managed to play in Darida, Belshin (Belarusian clubs) and as part of the Israeli club Bnei Sakhnin. In the first two teams he managed to play 15 and 10 matches, respectively, but in the last - only once. Apparently, in this football year, Eugene’s career began to decline, because for the whole season he did not score a single goal.

In 2005, he spent part of the season in Minsk Lokomotiv, after which he moved to Hapoel Kiryat Shmona. In Israel, Eugene received citizenship and arranged his personal life. Evgeny Zhuk ended his career in 2007. After three years of living in Israel, he returned to Belarus, where he spent his last games at the Savit club.
