Exceptional giftedness - happiness or a curse?

A talented person is envied. Why? Because it seems to others that exceptional giftedness is the key to success. That a talented young man, winning prizes and awards, will certainly grow up the career ladder, that his path will be smooth and even.

exceptional talent
At the same time, people not only often confuse abilities and giftedness, but also do not understand how much mental energy needs to be put in to someone who stands out in something from others. How many underwater not just stones - whole rocks - lie in wait for a talented person.

If we look into the history of culture and art, it turns out that even geniuses - or especially they - never lived an "ideal" life in the narrow-minded view. The exceptional giftedness of Mozart or Paganini demanded a sacrifice of their childhood and youth. Yes, it seems that everything is easy for the talented. But it is only at first that brings pleasure. Talent cannot develop without hard and hard work - not only visible, but also internal work. Often - including due to their special lifestyle - capable people have many psychological problems. This affects both their personal life and social status. Exceptional talent rarely comes paired with an entrepreneurial spirit. And this means that such people certainly need help, patronage, support from society, philanthropists, and the state.

intellectual giftedness

Parents - especially the vain ones - are often attracted to the "laurels" of the educators of a talented child. It is for them, and not for the youngest genius, that awards, competitions, prizes are important. They are doing their best to β€œpromote” and develop their child, whose exceptional talent they see as the key to a great future. However, the psychological problems of such a person are already laid in childhood. If from the young nails he was the center of attention, was an object of admiration, then in his youth he was subject to ever higher demands. And praise is becoming more and more mean. For some, this is enough for their self-esteem to suffer greatly. In other children, exceptional giftedness is inextricably linked to their extreme sensitivity and vulnerability. Being very impressionable, they greatly experience any failures, often live in their fictional world. Such children, becoming adolescents, are unable to independently solve even the most simple everyday problems.

abilities and giftedness

Exceptional giftedness in any field of knowledge or art often turns into a curse for the person himself. In addition to the fact that it does not mean anything without labor, others are envious of the talented person. But they not only zealously monitor successes and failures. They strive to exploit such a person and his abilities, because, for example, intellectual giftedness can be a source of discoveries and innovative solutions that can bring a lot of money when used correctly. But capital is most often earned not by the author of the idea itself, but by those who have managed to feel the market conditions. A gifted person who can bring great benefits to society needs to be supported in every way. A competent manager or impresario can successfully work with him in tandem.

Do not just forget about the spiritual well-being of a talented person. There have been too many examples in history when exceptional giftedness turned out to be a curse for such a person.
