Vasily Lomachenko. Legend Training

Vasily Lomachenko is a Ukrainian boxer who has been playing among professionals since 2012. An athlete nicknamed Hi-Tech has already set many records and is recognized as the most successful amateur boxer. It’s not necessary to prove this statement once again, it’s enough to simply list all the titles of Vasily: multiple winner of the Ukrainian championships, 2006 world champion at a young age, European champion, two-time world champion 2009 and 2010, two-time Olympic champion 2008 and 2012.

The 2008 Beijing Olympics brought Vasily the Vel Barker Cup - a prize for the most technically equipped boxer of the tournament. It is worth noting that at the youth level, Lomachenko has the only defeat in the final of the 2007 world championship - from the Russian Albert Selimov.

During the battle

Vasily Lomachenko. Childhood

The future champion was born 02/17/1988 in Belgorod-Dniester. The life path and his sports career were determined immediately. Anatoly Nikolaevich, the father of the champion, once a professional boxer himself, the goal of his life determined the creation of a new champion named Vasily Lomachenko.

However, it all began, as with most children: tears, resentment and a visit from under the stick ... dance class. Yes, yes, as a child, Vasily for three years could rightfully be called a "populist." The father forced his son to pass this test, so just imagine, increase the intensity of the legs, and therefore the speed of movement of the boxer in the ring. It is thanks to the incredible actions of the legs, due to which Lomachenko wants to run behind the opponent’s back and “sting” him, Vasily was named Hi-Tech.

Further, the athlete's activities began to approach boxing more and more: free-style wrestling and judo to increase stamina and build muscle, and after that, game sports replaced. All this time, Vasily also honed boxing skills, without stopping to do what he loves.

Speed training

Vasily Lomachenko. Training

Anatoly Nikolayevich is still the personal trainer of his son. He developed his own system for developing sports skills. Training Vasily Lomachenko does not end with a simple development of coordination, endurance and muscle building. The father gives his son truly incredible loads on the verge of human capabilities. So, Lomachenko’s training includes marathons and heats up to 10 kilometers. Impressive, isn't it?

Lomachenko’s training has already become a legend. At the moment, Vasily is improving in the United States with Freddie Roach, in the hall of which the father continues to train the athlete.

However, the Ukrainian performs some unusual elements along with all the boxers training with Roach. These include a unique technique for developing attention and increasing the speed of thinking in the ring. Athletes are offered pictures on which the numbers from 1 to 50 or from 1 to 90 are written. The values, of course, are arranged in a chaotic manner. The essence of the technique is to find all numbers in ascending order in the shortest period of time. Roach's boxers daily perform such training for the brain to be faster, higher and stronger in the ring, not only physically, but also mentally.

Of course, the practice of such unusual techniques is hidden from the eyes of journalists and rivals. Therefore, the “brainstorming” in the open training session of Lomachenko is not given to us, we have to take our word for it.

Championship belt

Vasily Lomachenko. Professional Boxer

Hi-Tech has already become widely known in the professional ring. Vasily twice won the world title according to the WBO (featherweight and second featherweight). In 2013, the famous magazine in the sports world The Ring magazine chose Lomachenko the winner in the nomination “The most promising boxer”, and in 2017 the publication called the athlete “Boxer of the Year”. In the opinion of The Ring last year, HBO joined the channel. Another achievement of Lomachenko is the entry into the top three best boxers (weight is not taken into account).
