They are engaged in cattle breeding.

Deposits of limestone, sand, peat are being developed. A new industrial zone is being created in the eastern part of the city.

City features

Built mostly in the Soviet period, the city of Kirovsk largely preserved the features of that time. Views of the city may resemble shots from Soviet films. Many buildings, including small ones, have survived from those times. These are also peculiar sights of Kirovsk (Len. Region). But there are modern high-rise buildings. As it should be for the cities of the Soviet type, there are a lot of trees around. This, of course, makes Kirovsk more comfortable and pleasant to visit. True, in the high-rise area, everything is not so pretty. There are also modern cottages for wealthy citizens.

The main attractions in this city are monuments. Here you can see the following sculptures:

In addition to the monuments, you can visit the military cemetery in Maryino, a museum dedicated to the Leningrad blockade, as well as the “wish tree”. Visitors will also enjoy the picturesque view of the Neva River from the territory of the recreation park. There is even a small beach by the river where vacationers stop.

Kirovsk attractions

Another interesting attraction of Kirovsk (Leningrad Oblast) is the "tree of fidelity", which is located in a park near a one-story building. This artificial structure is small in size, but made as if a real chopped tree is growing. Literally a few meters from it - a reconciliation bench, entirely consisting of curved iron bars. It has the appearance of a work of art.

And in another square - near the administration building - a sculpture of elk covered with artificial moss .

Thus, the sights of Kirovsk are mainly monuments and sculptures scattered in different areas. The city of Kirovsk as a whole still retains its Soviet appearance.
