Russia continues to set new standards in the areas of functionality and comfort of protection for military personnel. So, the new model of the ballistic helmet of the first class of protection "Spartanets" was specially developed by the company "VoenProm" in accordance with TU 7399-001-65172309-2014.

Helmet designation

The helmet was created in order to protect the fighter’s head not only from bullets of all types of pistols, V50% fragments, but also pistol-machine gun bullets with a caliber of less than 0.44 Magnum. In addition, the helmet is designed to prevent injuries from hitting the head with heavy objects or a person falling from a height.

It will not be pierced, for example, by a powerful 11-mm cartridge from a revolver. The weight of such a bullet is 240 grain. This corresponds to 15.55 grams. If you compare it with other bullets, then 9 x 19 weighs 5.8 g, and 7.7 g weighs a 9 x 21 bullet.

So, a bullet fired in this helmet from a Tokarev pistol could not penetrate it, causing only a slight swelling on its back. The Yarygin pistol was not able to break through the defense at all. An armor-piercing cartridge 9 x 19 pierced this helmet, however, like any other.

Shatter protection

As for the fragments, Russia adopted its standard in the form of a ball of steel, the diameter of which is 6.35 mm and the weight is 1.05 grams. Tests of the protective qualities of armor are based on the assumption that a fragment flying at a speed of 650 m / s and falling into the helmet must penetrate no more than 50% of the thickness of the armor.

Structurally, the helmet "Spartan Bear force" consists of a pair of segments independent from each other. They significantly reduce shock load and serve to maximize head protection.

She is not afraid of moisture and is extremely resistant to fire. The pillows made in this way do not interfere with their comfortable use in conjunction with active headphones.

If you remove the pillows from the helmet, you can notice the black inserts. These are the air ducts for ventilating the helmet. Pillows are attached using standard Velcro mugs.

Peripheral Mount

On the Spartan helmet, it is possible to install a night vision device. It is mounted on a special shroud.

Helmets and cameras are installed on rails located on the sides of the helmet, if necessary. Adapters for glasses or headphones are integrated. When parachuting, you can connect an oxygen mask.

In addition, the helmet design provides for the possibility of installing a special visor, side shields and a special type of ballistic protection for the chin.

The Spartan helmet is supplied by the manufacturer in a rather soft case, regardless of model and version. Inside the cover there is enough free space, therefore, in addition to the helmet itself, it is possible, for example, to store replaceable covers in it.

In addition to the fact that it is possible to choose the required helmet size, the table also allows you to choose the color of the cover. They are available in MULTICAM, ATACS-FG, ATACS-AU and black.

The protective helmet looks quite impressive, the matte color for cartoons by aquaprint technology does not glare in the sun and has a remission in the infrared spectrum of zero. And therefore, in the night vision device, the helmet will not glow.

In addition to shroud for night vision devices (night vision devices), there are rubber bands on the sides to enhance their fixation in the bracket. If you do not need NVD, but a flashlight, then the bracket is perfect for attaching it - grooves with almost no play.
