Badan, belonging to the family of Saxifragia, has a second, official name - bergenia. It was given in honor of the famous botanist Karl von Bergen from Germany. The plant is common in temperate Asian climates from China and Korea to Afghanistan. It grows in our country - in Siberia, Altai, in the Sayan mountains.

The thick root of a perennial berry can branch, spread along the surface of the soil. Leathery foxes grow from the rhizome, the length of which can reach 35 centimeters. There are several varieties of plants. The most common ones are:

  • Badan is Pacific. The plant has bright flowers with a gentle lilac tint. They resemble small bells. Large (up to 20 cm in diameter) leaves of a rounded shape are painted in saturated green color.
  • The incense is hearty. The height of this plant ranges from 20 to 40 centimeters. Beautiful inflorescences can be painted in lilac, white, purple or pink, and the leaves of a heart-shaped form are dark green.
  • Badan is thick-leaved. It is this variety that is most often used in folk medicine. Thick frangipani grows up to 50 centimeters. Its beautiful dark pink flowers and light green leaves in the fall become red-brown.

The broth prepared from the roots of a medicinal plant can be taken by both adults and children over three years old. With an upset stomach, a child is prepared healing tea from a teaspoon of roots and 250 ml of boiling water. Tea should be infused for ten minutes, after which it must be filtered. Before use, alcohol tinctures are diluted in 50 ml of water. With detected metastases in the liver, alcohol tinctures should be replaced with water. On the neoplasm area, compresses are made from the infusion of frankincense twice a day. In the first one and a half months, the infusion is diluted with water in a ratio of 1: 2, in the second half of the course for compresses, undiluted infusion is used.
