Is speculation empty speculation?

We often wonder why this or that situation occurs, why various incidents happen all over the world. Thus, we have the property to build speculation. What is the meaning of this word and how often do we allow ourselves to draw conclusions based on speculation? And yet, is speculation an important component of human life?

Meaning of the word

The difference between speculation and facts

Let's first determine the meaning of the word itself. So what is speculation? This is often an unsupported guess, an assumption, and, as a result, unfounded conclusions.

Very often the word "speculation" is confused with accurate facts. Then what are the facts? This is already accurately confirmed information. After all, there are even many phrases, such as, for example, "statement of fact", that is, its statement. Saying "in fact", a person thereby makes it possible to understand that the information is accurate and true.

Facts and conjectures are different in that they have different levels of trust. For example, you don’t really believe that person who just assumes without any reason, right? And when clear facts describe or give you an example, you are more likely to trust.

Speculation is, as already mentioned, merely thoughts that arise on the basis of what has been seen or heard. In no case should one be guided only by speculation, because they are likely to be from 60-80% erroneous.

Impact on human life

Unfortunately, in the world quite a lot of people who are not used to trusting facts, listen only to themselves. On this basis, many families, friendships, and even business relationships have collapsed.

Agree, this should not be. Any speculation simply must be confirmed by some fact, so that a person is convinced of its reliability.

The worst enemies of a person in a relationship even with himself are speculation, mistrust, excessive custody and pride as well. Therefore, it is necessary to understand any problem, not being guided only by guesses.
