Jeff Hardy Biography
Jeff was born in North Carolina into an ordinary working-class family. His father grew tobacco, and his mother died of cancer when Jeff was only 9 years old. From an early age, a love of sport was born in him. In the ninth grade, Hardy participated in motorcycle racing. Secondarily, the young man was fond of playing baseball, but was forced to abandon this sport, as he injured his arm in one of the races. The career of a professional wrestler began with an ordinary trampoline in the backyard, which was presented to the Hardy brothers by their father. However, instead of using the gift for its intended purpose, the brothers turned it into a ring where they practiced blows. They took most of these attacks from the battles seen on television. Thus, Hardy was seriously interested in wrestling.
In 1990, amateur fights organized by Kenneth Morgan took place on the streets of the city. In the same year, the Hardy brothers met him, after which Kenneth recorded them for the first battle. Together with Morgan, they rode across the state, participating in various battles. And only in 1992, the brothers got acquainted with Stallion, who invited them to perform in a professional ring.
WWF battles
After a series of amateur fights, Jeff and Matt end up in WWF. Naturally, here the matter was not without Stallion's influence. However, initially there was a problem, because minors were not allowed into the ring. And Jeff at that time was not 18 years old. But he looked at that time much older than his age, so there was no difficulty in throwing himself an extra year. One of the “chips” of the athlete was the Jeff Hardy tattoo.
At the beginning of his journey, Jeff had to be a bag for practicing blows or, in other words, a joker. This type of fighter was necessary to emphasize the identity of their opponents. Thundering inexperienced opponents, they gained a reputation, which allowed them to move to the next level. Such a difficult share fell to Jeff Hardy at the very beginning of his fighting career. But not for long.
From TWF to OMEGA
A little later, the brothers organize their TWF wrestling federation. In this they are helped by their friends in sports. Most of the time, athletes were engaged in practicing the techniques seen in battles on TV. The name of the federation changed with each new battle, and there were many. Indeed, in one year, the Hardy brothers traveled the entire northern coast of the United States.
After some time, the federation changes its name to OMEGA. This is due to the initiative of Matt's older brother. In the new federation, the brothers work out new blows, gain popularity and advance in their careers. But since 1998, less and less has been heard about them. It meant one thing - it was necessary to change something.
"Hardy Boys" or WWF battles
When the talk about OMEGA completely subsided, the brothers moved to the new WWF federation, which was facilitated by the acquaintance with Michael Hayes. And already in 1999, the Hardy brothers won their first titles in a team battle. The team was called "The Broods" and included, in addition to Jeff and Matt, also Hayes. However, not even a month had passed before the team returned the belts in the rematch.
A few months later, "The Broods" are faced with a couple - Christian and Edge. The fight became very much discussed due to the fact that stairs were used in it, and the wrestling world did not know such yet. After a hard battle, the Hardy brothers won.
Later, the brothers repeatedly came out against Christian and Edge. Moreover, it was not always possible to win.
The fame of Jeff Hardy in the 2000s
Thanks to risky tricks, Jeff began to stand out from the team. Jeff Hardy's receptions looked more and more spectacular every time. This contributed to his separation from the team. And the result was obvious. A single performance brought more popularity to Jeff, which could not be said about his brother. Once there was a battle between the Hardy brothers, where they were supposed to mate with each other. In this battle, the younger brother, Jeff, won. After this fight, it would seem, there can be no question of uniting the brothers again into the team.
In 2001, Jeff Hardy, together with his former partner, accept the challenge from Undertaker. In this battle, they lose. Moreover, after the battle, Undertaker attacks them and inflicts serious injuries.
