The Golovinsky district is located in the north of Moscow and, according to official data, was formed in October 1995. Until that moment, he went through an interesting and complex history of formation, so today it can rightfully be called the Golovinsky Administrative District. Today, its area is about nine square kilometers, which significantly exceeds the original figure.
In the past - the village
Like many others, the Golovinsky district originated from an ordinary, unremarkable village. As the village was originally called, today it is unknown, however, there are suggestions that the name was associated with the word "head" (given the modern version). In ancient times in Russia, this word called the beginning of something: a river, ravine or stream.
Toward the nineteenth century, the area acquired a slightly different name - Khovrino. There is reason to believe that it was associated with some cultural figures. In the village, there were about one hundred and thirty yards in which, as the census showed, less than a thousand peasants lived. Mostly their occupation was agriculture. They
sowed oats, rye, wheat and barley. Despite hard work and an almost complete absence of free time, they lived very poorly. Since the landowners did not believe that their workers needed education, most peasants were not literate.
The first steps towards development
But everything changed in 1869, when a local priest insisted on opening a school. Children began to go to school, develop, and there was hope that their future would be at least slightly different from their parents. Naturally, the landowners accepted this innovation without much enthusiasm, however, they did not begin to argue with the priest, since they themselves were quite religious. In the 1920s, the Soviet Union reached the village of Khovrino. Agricultural partnerships and cooperatives began to form actively.
The influence of the USSR
Collective farms appeared under the name “Red Star”, “Red Banner”, “Path to Socialism”. It was already a full-fledged farm management system with its chairman. Around the same time, the first village councils began to exist. Initially, the village council included several villages and farms, so the supervision of them was often entrusted to several leaders.
In 1950, the collective farm in Khovrino was significantly enlarged, and ten years later it had already entered the Belokamennaya line. From that moment, large-scale housing construction began there. Since the village became part of Moscow, it has substantially changed; only ponds and the Golovinskoye highway reminded of the former Golovino. The name of the district also contains the ancient and fascinating history of the village.
Golovinsky District: our days
It is well known that today it is one of the largest industrial and residential areas of the Northern District of the capital. Fifty industrial enterprises have been active in production for several years now. It is here that you can find the country's first museum of fishing and hunting.
The modern symbolism of the region is of considerable interest. The emblem depicts the head of an
old Russian warrior in a silver helmet. Perhaps this is partially explained by the name of the area. Golovinsky district of Moscow is famous for its ponds, which are located north of the Golovinsky stream. This beautiful system of ponds, the main of which has an area of slightly less than eight hectares. In the southeast there is a beautiful operating boat station, which used to belong to the
Mikhalkovo estate.Management and infrastructure
The government of Golovinsky district, judging by the reviews of residents, is qualified for their work. But still, some remain dissatisfied with the attitude of officials towards the common people. Residents require justice and improvement. Despite this, it is impossible not to notice that the district has a fairly developed infrastructure.
The metro station, industrial enterprises, the museum, the MFC of the Golovinsky district, thirteen kindergartens, a modern center of culture and art, libraries and nine secondary schools are very good indicators.
In the modern territory of the Golovinsky district, there is one metro station - the Water Stadium, which belongs to the Zamoskvoretskaya line. This greatly simplifies the traffic interchange and minimizes the number of traffic jams. Its closest neighbors are South Tushino, Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo, the Voikovsky, Timiryazevsky, Koptevo and Western Degunino districts.
For the comfort of residents, the MFC Golovinsky District was created. According to the latest data, it includes: Migration Service, Civil Registry Office, Passport Office, Pension Fund and some universal specialists.
This comfortable corner of Moscow has a good infrastructure, which is still under development. The Golovinsky district is historical and quite interesting. It is worth a visit and see all the sights with your own eyes.
