Tinkoff beer: creation story and variety of tastes

The Tinkoff company was founded in 1998 by Oleg Tinkoff, together with his marketers. In 2002, a brewery was founded under this name, and was built in just 10 months. In 2003, he began to produce his first products. About 250,000 hectoliters of ultra-premium beer are produced annually. The name Tinkoff is not only a brewing company and a factory, but also a chain of restaurants.

Under the Bavarian brand, the light malt flavor is slightly islandy, with a light but noticeable bitterness. Beer has a golden color, the foam holds well and sticks nicely to cubes. The percentage of alcohol is 5.2.

The aroma is clean, malt is felt. Typical hops, beer has a grassy and even woody tone. At first glance, the smell of hay and freshly cut grass may appear. Solid hops leave a noticeable aftertaste. Bavarians call this kind of Helles. Tinkoff beer fully corresponds to it.

English ale

The aroma feels good hops. In the "English Ale" one feels a soft caramel-floral taste and a bit of bitterness, and all this keeps its tongue for a very long time, gradually turning into an aftertaste. In appearance, "English Ale" is a honeyed drink with a persistent foam. In color, it resembles honey.

This beer, as well as the Bavarian Light, leaves a grassy finish. A little felt citrus notes. The density of this Tinkoff beer is 11%, but in reality it seems to be higher. This is an excellent ale that is fully consistent with its price. On the label you can see the varieties of malt and hops.

About company

Tinkoff beer is produced on the best brewing equipment from the highest quality raw materials. The plant follows the German law on the purity of beer: all that is needed to make real beer is malt, water, hops, yeast, and nothing more.

Tinkoff beer

In 2005, InBev bought the company, and Oleg Tinkoff in 2009 decided to completely give up brewing. However, after a long absence from the beer market, Tinkoff beer is returning again, but in a different format.

The presentation of the new brand took place on July 26, 2013 at the Dickens restaurant in St. Petersburg. According to Oleg Tinkoff, founder of Tinkoff, he again decided to produce a hop-drink to teach Russian consumers how to make good beer. Having collected the best recipes, the businessman creates his own, completely new varieties. But Tinkoff himself has nothing to do with the company, because it has not belonged to him for a long time. Therefore, the performance of Oleg Tinkov can be regarded as a marketing move. Tinkoff beer tastes great, but, unfortunately, buyers are not in great demand.
