The mini-football team of Russia is played by football players, both born in the country and abroad. One of the domestic players - Sergeyev Sergeyev - has been the captain and true leader of the team for 5 years. Despite his age, 33 years old, is not going to complete the performance in the team.
Carier start
Sergeyev Sergey Alexandrovich was born on June 28, 1983 in Moscow. Like most boys, he was fond of playing football since childhood and even enrolled in a football school at the Krasnogvardeets club, but at the age of 18 he decided to go into futsal. Being a very technical player, Sergeyev was able to get into the structure of the capital CSKA, in which he made his debut in 2001.
The game for CSKA
The first two seasons Sergeyev Sergey Aleksandrovich played for the youth composition of the “army”, where he could quickly establish himself. The debut for the main team of CSKA took place in 2003, in October of that year, the striker scored his first goal as part of the Muscovites, hitting the gates of the Novy Urengoy Itera.
The first season at the base ended very successfully for the young Russian - his 19 goals helped the club repeat the best result in its history - 6th place in the Russian championship.
Each year, Sergeyev’s game progressed noticeably, and after 4 years, he became the team’s top scorer, scoring 30 goals in the season, thanks to which CSKA was able to show the best result in history, entering the top five.
During the next championship, the Russian became the club's champion in the number of matches held, and a year later he helped the team repeat the best result - to become fifth again.
Going to Dynamo
In 2012, CSKA began to experience serious financial difficulties and in the summer announced a breakup with the main players, which is why Sergeyev had to look for a new club. In just 11 years of his career as part of the “army” Sergey took part in more than 300 meetings, scoring almost 150 goals.
Dynamo Moscow, who was the current champion of the country, gladly agreed to take one of the best strikers of the Russian national team. Despite the high level of competition, Sergeyev did not get lost as part of Muscovites, having participated in the first season in winning the title of Russian champion, holder of the Country Cup and Intercontinental Cup, as well as receiving silver medals of the UEFA Cup.
A year later, Dynamo lost the status of the current champion, but again reached the final of the European Cup, and also took the Russian Cup for the 8th time in its history. As in the previous season, the Russian accounted for 12 goals in the championship, and he did not intend to lower the bar.
The very next year, 20 goals of Sergeyev led the “blue and white” to “silver”, and in 2016, despite the next 12 goals, Muscovites regained the title of champion.
Captain of the Russian national team
In 2005, Sergeyev Sergeyevich attracted attention from the coaching staff of the team with his performance and technical game. The debut for the national team of the 22-year-old player took place in November of the same year - the station wagon took part in a friendly meeting with Italy.
It took Sergei a little more than a year to open an account for the goals for the Russian national team - in January 2007, in a friendly match against Uzbekistan, as part of the preparations for the qualifying tournament for the European Championship, the forward scored the final score in the match.
A month later, the second ball took place as part of the Russian team - Sergeyev became one of the authors of eight unanswered goals against Greece. Having contributed to the national team entering the European Championship, Sergey went in its composition to the final part of the tournament, where he became the bronze medalist of the continental championship.
Since then, the attacker was regularly called up for the national team’s matches, received a captain’s armband and in 2012 was able to win the “silver” of the European Championship, scoring 2 goals in the tournament. He repeated this achievement in 2014, distinguishing himself already three times, and in 2016, distinguishing himself only once.
