Once it happens, when you come home after a hard day's work, you want to surf on the Internet, and instead a window pops up with the inscription "error 0x80070035, the network path was not found". However, do not despair, there is a solution.
What does error code 0x80070035 mean?
Let's get it right. Error code 0x80070035 occurs because the computer cannot find the network path, that is, it cannot connect to the Internet. It can look like this:
There may be several causes for the problem:
- conflict of IP addresses;
- problems with the router;
- problems with the network card or its drivers;
- blocking the connection by antivirus;
- problems with the provider.
Solving such a malfunction is not difficult, it is worth taking a few simple steps.
IP Conflict
You can also see the error code 0x80070035 with the inscription “IP address conflict”, but it may not exist. This happens when a new computer connects to the network and takes on the IP address that is reserved on another computer. This usually happens in organizations where all machines are connected to a common network, and addresses are distributed randomly. But this can happen with a home PC. The problem is solved by the fact that you need to take another, free IP address.
On Windows 7, this is done as follows. We go to the control panel and follow the section “Network and Internet”. There we click on “Network and Sharing Center”. In the right column, select “Change adapter settings”, after which we find the desired network connection and go to its properties. From the list, select the Internet protocol version 4 (TCP / IPv4). The address recorded there is best recorded or photographed somewhere just in case.
We put a dot on the automatic receipt of the IP address and DNS server. Click OK. Now the connection should resume. If this does not happen, return the old IP back and then look for the reason.
Problems with the router
Very often, error 0x80070035 occurs due to problems with the router. There are some models that can quite often lose the network. An ordinary reboot will help with this problem. The procedure is performed in two ways:
- Through the admin panel. In the address bar of the browser, enter 192.168.1.1, after which we write the login and access password. It can be found in the passport to the router. Very often, the username and password are the same - admin. Next, find the reboot in the menu item (usually in the administration section or system tools).
- Go to the router, turn it off, and after 5 seconds. turn on.
Sometimes it happens that the Internet resumes after the router is unplugged and turned on after 5 seconds. Worth a try if all else fails. If this connection failure appears again, then most likely the router is to blame.
Due to p-node mode
Another problem 0x80070035 Windows 7 may be that the PC uses the p-node method to determine the resolution. You can verify this as follows.
We go to the “Start”, in the standard we find “Run” (or type the key combination Win + R). In the window that appears, enter the command “cmd”. In the command line, enter “ipconfig / all”, press Enter. If the type of peer node is indicated in the report, then the computer is in p-node mode. This can be changed in the register.
You will need the same Run program. We enter the “regedit” command in it, after which the register editing window will open. Next, go the following way: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE // System // CurrentControlSet // Service // NetBT // Parameters. In this folder, remove the values of DhcpNodeType and Node Type, after which you need to restart the computer.
Antivirus lock
It happens that the network connection is blocked by the antivirus, calling the code “0x80070035: the network path was not found”. Basically, this is done by such well-known programs as Kaspersky and NOD32. You can verify this by disabling the antivirus for a while. If after this the Internet has appeared, then you should go into the antivirus program and disable the monitoring of network traffic. Or change the program itself. Fortunately, there are plenty of them on the web, including free ones.
Malfunctioning drivers
Sometimes error code 0x80070035 happens due to a problem in the network card driver. You can see this in the device manager. You can find it by going to the properties of my computer. A window will open, in the left pane of which you need to select the “Device Manager” item. We open the list “Network Adapters”.
If the driver on the network adapter has a yellow exclamation mark, then you need to fix it, update it, or reinstall it. The driver can be found on the website of the manufacturer of the board or the PC itself (if it is a laptop).
Provider issues
Do not forget about the network service provider. The problem may be somewhere on the line, although this happens extremely rarely. Therefore, if everything has already been tried and nothing helps, you should call tech support to your provider and find out why there is no network connection. Usually they notify all technical work in advance, however, malfunctions can occur completely unexpectedly.
Unable to connect to remote printer
It is very convenient to have a connection to a remote printer. The advantages are enough: you do not need to connect it directly when there is already not enough space, and you do not need to run from computer to computer with a flash drive for printing. However, the network error 0x80070035 already known to us can also occur in this case.
First of all, you need to make sure that the printer is turned on, and that the computer is running and is in a ready state (not in sleep or standby mode). Then we check the availability of the Internet. It is clear that without it, you can’t connect to the device. Next, check the printer settings. To do this, go to “Start” on the computer connected to the printer, in the right menu, click on “Devices and Printers”. Right-click on the desired device and click “Printer Property” (located approximately in the middle). In the window that appears, go to the “Access” section. Here we look, whether there is a general access, whether the network name matches.
If everything is in order there, and the error code 0x80070035 has not gone away, we go to the Control Panel. We go to “Network and Internet”, where you need to go to the section “Change advanced sharing options”. There you need to enable sharing of data and printers, network environment.
If this does not help, then you should remove this printer and reinstall it.
Summarize
This problem is not so complicated, and it is usually solved by switching to automatically obtaining an IP address or rebooting the router. But if the two described simple methods did not help, then it is worth delving into the solution to the problem.
