Smetanin Andrey - Russian football goalkeeper. He began his career in the USSR. He gained the greatest popularity, speaking as part of the Moscow Dynamo. Currently holds a leading position in the structure of the Dynamo mini-football club.
Goalkeeper childhood
Smetanin Andrey was born on June 21 in 1969 in Perm. In early childhood, his father became interested in football and entered the local sports school. He made his first steps in big football as part of the local "Star". First entered the field in 1986, at the age of 17. At that time, the team led by the honored trainer of the RSFSR Viktor Slesarev played in the Second League.
Smetanin Andrey spent two matches for the “Star” for two seasons, becoming one of the main goalkeepers of the club. In the 86th year, the team won bronze medals, and in the 87th they won the second league, leaving for an upgrade in the class. In that year, Zvezda lost just 18 goals in 42 matches. The lion merit in this and the goalkeeper Smetanina.
True, he and the team did not go to the first Allied League. Andrew received a tempting offer from the capital.
To Moscow
In 1987 Andrei Smetanin fell on a pencil to the scouts of the capital Dynamo and in the same season ended up in the camp of the “blue and white”. The team at that time acted in the elite of Soviet football, but played with varying success. For example, in the 88th year, she took only 10th place in the championship of the USSR, without falling into European competitions.
It was better to perform better in 1990. “Dynamo” won half of 24 matches and won bronze medals. By that time, Smetanin Andrey was increasingly getting into the starting lineup. The player in the USSR championship spent 13 matches in which he conceded 24 goals.
In the championship of Russia
After the collapse of the Soviet Union, many football players decided to try their luck abroad. But Smetanin Andrey was not among them. The footballer, whose biography is almost completely connected with Dynamo, remained in the club.
In the recent history of Russian football in the first half of the 90s, Smetanin is the main goalkeeper of the “blue and white”.
In 1992, the team seriously fought for victory in the first championship of Russia. “Dynamo” won first place at the preliminary stage. However, in the fight for medals, only 6 out of 14 matches were won, thanks to which they took third place. Silver at Vladikavkaz Spartak, and Moscow won Spartak gold.
In the 93rd year, the “blue and white” again the third, this time along with the capital “Spartak” they went around the Volgograd “Rotor”. In the 94th, the team performs even more successfully and wins silver medals. True, the champion, “Spartacus” is inferior to as many as 11 points at the finish.
In the 95th Dynamo are overboard the medal standings, only in 4th place. But Smetanin is seeking individual recognition - according to the results of the season, he is among the 33 best players in the championship. Among goalkeepers he has an honorary bronze. Ahead is Sergei Ovchinnikov from the metropolitan Lokomotiv and guardian of the gates of the Vladikavkaz Spartak-Alania Zaur Hapov.
In the 96th “Dynamo” again fourth, and Smetanin again among the best goalkeepers, this time losing only to Ovchinnikov. 1997 was the last for Smetanin in the camp of blue and white, after his graduation, he left the team, agreeing to the proposal of the Moscow “Spartak”.
Thus, playing for Dynamo, he spent 120 matches in which he conceded 128 goals. Three times won bronze medals (the last time in 97th), once won silver and became the owner of the Russian Cup in 1995.
Champion of Russia
In 1998, Andrei Smetanin, a football player whose photo adorned the pages of sports newspapers at that time, transferred to Spartak Moscow. With this team, he finally fights seriously for the championship. Only one thing is sad, he does it most often from the bench.
29-year-old Smetanin hoped to oust the goalkeeper of the red-white Alexander Filimonov, but the last reason almost did not give.
As a result, the Perm goalkeeper twice became the champion of Russia - in 1999 and 2000. But at the same time he spent in all tournaments for Spartak only 14 matches, in which he missed 11 goals. A good indicator, but not enough to become the No. 1 goalkeeper in the best team in the country. According to the results of 2001, after spending three seasons behind Filimonov, Smetanin decides to look for a new club.
In the first division
Moreover, no matter how sad it is for the goalkeeper, while he was sitting on the Spartak bench, he significantly lost his condition and after three years in the shadow of Filimonov was no longer perceived as one of the best goalkeepers in the country.
As a result, it’s only possible to transfer to the debutant team of the major league. Smetanin moves to the Saratov Falcon. Here he performs two seasons. And if in 2001 the Saratov team achieved the best result in their history - they took 8th place, then in 2002, having gained only 5 victories in 30 matches, they flew to the First Division from last place. At the same time, Smetanin was not the main goalkeeper. Totally spent 19 matches in which he conceded 24 goals.
Moreover, he ended the year 2002 in another team - the Astrakhan “Volgar”. For the second round, he played 14 games, conceded 19 goals and allowed the team to keep a residence permit in the First Division.
Smetanin began the year 2003 in Moscow's Titan, playing in the Second Division, then played for Yekaterinburg Ural, Izhevsk Gazovik-Gazprom and the Lobnya Alla team near Moscow.
He graduated in 2006. After that, for several years he worked as a sports functionary in the structure of the Dynamo-2 mini-football club. He currently works as a trainer in the youth school "Youth of Moscow", which trains players for the Moscow "Spartak".
Married. However, it does not extend its private life; it never tells any details to reporters.
