Such means include, in particular, the so-called doorways, which are single-page sites created with only one purpose - the placement of links leading to a promoted resource. Doorways often contain completely meaningless or pseudo-meaningful texts, often consisting only of keywords. Such sites do not carry useful information, therefore, are not of interest to visitors. Search engines do not approve of the use of black methods, and sites promoted in this way are often excluded from the index.

White methods are all promotion methods that are approved by search engines and the Internet community as a whole. Website promotion using only white methods requires a considerable amount of time, but the result is very stable. Incoming links can be obtained by registering in several directories and ratings by posting links on free message boards and forums. Recently, in order to increase link mass, commenting on dofollow blogs has been used, as the most promising, and putting the site in social bookmarks. These methods are very effective and bear fruit.

Advertising on the Internet is closely connected with the optimization of sites for search engines. Its peculiarities are that it is not limited to any legislative acts or decrees, like advertising in traditional mass media.

Therefore, cases of abuse and obsession are not uncommon. If traditional advertising is used as a “trade engine”, then advertising on the Internet has fundamentally different features from billboards, stretch marks, pillars and plasma panels. Unfair advertising on websites can lead to resources that can cause enormous damage to a user's computer or their confidential data.

But however, do not scold all online advertising indiscriminately. As elsewhere, there are promotional materials and certainly useful and carrying the necessary information. But if a regular visitor to Internet resources has a desire to never see ads, which often happens, then for such a person there is protection from advertising on the Internet, which is nothing more than programs that block pop-up advertising windows or download banners and teasers, so annoyingly acting on many users. Internet advertising protection can also be used if the Internet user is a child.

Owners of Internet resources can make good money on their site by placing advertising banners or links on it. This is also the use of advertising - if only it would not be to the detriment of the community. But in any case, income from the placement of advertising materials can be obtained only if the site is properly optimized for search engines.
