Station history
The construction process of Dynamo was launched in February 1981. During the work, natural disturbances were discovered that were associated with the relative proximity of the city pond. For this reason, even one state of emergency occurred during construction work: because of the high pressure of the underground water, they broke through into the shaft shaft, which led to the stoppage of work. To solve the problem, engineers proposed to apply the finish based on monolithic reinforced concrete. Naturally, the progress of construction slowed significantly. Only in 1987 was the construction of the slope of the station started, which was completed in a few months.
The location of the facility under construction was also rather unsuccessful. Above was the shore of the city pond. There were no ground transportation stops at a distance of 0.5 km. The project was to build a sports palace and a park here. However, the construction of these facilities was never started. There were few passengers, mainly those who were residents of nearby five-story houses.
This situation persisted for a long time. Only in recent years has the Sports Palace appeared (designed for 5500 people), a large number of new high-rise buildings, and a cinema and concert hall with the name "Cosmos". A trolleybus line was brought to the station. As a result of all these construction projects, the number of passengers at the Dynamo station increased sharply.
Used materials
Dynamo stop is well finished. An umbrella-shaped convex ceiling is the goal of groundwater drainage and at the same time is an important element of decoration. The walls and floors were finished with red Karelian granite and patterned marble. At the end of the platform was a sculpture of the ancient Greek master Miron (V century BC).
Lighting
On the central axis on the stone pedestals there are 5 lamps symbolizing torches. At first they shone with a violet-blue light, contrasting with the color of the finish, which had more yellow tones. They worked on the basis of mercury-helium lamps. Recently, in three of them (in the 1st, 3rd and 5th) they were replaced by sodium ones emitting golden yellow light. Such light has warmer and more comfortable colors. The remaining 2 lamps remained the same.
Public transport access
The stop of the Dynamo metro station in Yekaterinburg is located in a zone of low transport accessibility. Ground transportation in the station area is poorly developed. For a long time he was not at all. Now at the exit from it there is one trolleybus stop.
