Basic methods of parenting and the concept of "proper education"

Today, a large number of new trends have appeared in pedagogy, which are positive and contribute to the full disclosure of the inner potential of our children. If before there was a unified program for raising children and any deviation from it was considered something bad and not far off, now the situation has changed radically. Modern methods of education are so diverse that, at times, parents do not even know about many of them. In our interesting time, it is possible to raise a child according to the method chosen by the parent himself. This has its advantages, however, this state of affairs has also raised one serious problem: how to choose the most appropriate program for raising children so that it suits your child as much as possible and helps to reveal its inner potential.

The question of whether physical punishment should be applied in case of a child’s disobedience and what this may lead to is quite relevant and rhetorical today. This is a rather complicated question to which each parent finds an answer independently, depending on their views on life, their own life experience and the available information on this topic. However, it is important to understand the psychological mechanisms of education, which include the nature of the child, his temperament, external environment (peers, friends), relationships in the family, and the lifestyle of the family as a whole. You should always remember that in the first 3-4 years a child lays the foundation that will be in him throughout his life, so it is at this time that the child needs to be given maximum attention, affection and kindness. However, an important line should be observed here so as not to spoil your baby, because otherwise he can grow up to be an egoist who simply will not appreciate all that his parents do for him. In this regard, the role of the father is very important, who, on the one hand, should be the best friend to his child, and on the other, we are building a mentor, who must be obeyed without question.

Methods of parenting modern children include the following aspects:

  1. Setting goals and objectives of education
  2. The content of the education program
  3. Age features, including the level of mental development of the child, his moral and ethical qualities and spiritual development
  4. The general level of development of the children's team
  5. The development of personal and individual qualities of the child, where the main role is assigned to the educator, who defines the boundaries of the children's β€œI” and the beginning of β€œWe”
  6. Means of education and cognition of the whole world, which include facial expressions, speech, movement, gestures and so on.
  7. Expected Consequences of Parenting

The choice and combination of different educational methods among themselves is an extremely important point not only for educators, but also for parents. As a result, much attention should be paid to these issues. If we co-operate with a sample of the works of many academic teachers, we can distinguish the main methods of raising children:

  1. Lecture - a theoretical generalization of a topic with actual confirmation of all of the above.
  2. Belief - a versatile impact on the feelings, will and mind of the child with the aim of forming his basic human qualities.
  3. Disputation - a discussion of a question in the presence of different opinions, as a result of which examples and proofs of the correctness of one of the interlocutors are given.
  4. Exercise - clearly organized implementation of various actions in order to develop certain qualities and achieve the desired level.
  5. An example is based on the desire of children to imitate each other.
  6. Stimulation - inducing a child to action, feeling and a certain thought

Recently, more and more often you can hear about such a technique as proper education. The essence of the method is the early detection of certain qualities of the child and development in accordance with his desire for a certain type of activity. In addition, much attention is paid to the development of the personal "I", as a result of which the child, at an early age, begins to realize himself as a full-fledged person and bear personal responsibility for all his actions and deeds.

Thus, despite the fact that modern methods of education are very diverse, they are all concentrated around one main task - the education of a full-fledged person. If as a result of upbringing the child grew up confident, competent, honest, sincere and friendly, then he can consider his task to be completed.
