Troyanovsky Eduard is an effective Russian athlete. He has won the title of European champion. The article tells about his sporting achievements.
First steps
Eduard Troyanovsky was born in the city of Omsk on May 30, 1980. However, besides birth, practically nothing connects Edward with this Siberian city. Even at a young age, parents decide to move to Oryol. It is there that the formation of Edward as an athlete takes place. The first choice was weightlifting. From the fifth grade, he was engaged in this discipline in the school section and only at the age of sixteen decided to move to boxing. His trainer was Vladimir Redin, with whom Eduard Troyanovsky worked until he was nineteen years old, until he was drafted into the army, in air defense.
Professional career
Two years spent in military service did not affect the guy’s decision to play sports professionally. After serving in the army, Edward resumed training and soon completed the CCM boxing standard.
In 2005, Troyanovsky decided to do kickboxing. And it was in this sport that the first big victories came: he became the champion of the CIS countries, the champion of Europe, the silver and double bronze medalist of the world championships. However, despite the victories, Eduard Troyanovsky did not leave hopes for success in classic boxing. The first victory in the professional ring was won in November 2009 over the German Richard Zwarg. Then there were eight more victories, as a result of which Eduard became the holder of the European title for the WBO.
The next turning point for the athlete was the conclusion of a contract with Russian promoter Sergey Khrenov. After that, Edward's career went up. PABA and WBA champion titles were won. And the main success at the moment is the fight with the Argentinean Cesar Cuenca, held on November 4, 2015 in Kazan. By decision of the judges, a victory by technical knockout was awarded to our boxer. This achievement allowed such an athlete as Eduard Troyanovsky to become the holder of the world title in two versions, IBF and IBO.
Plans
In April of this year, a significant battle for boxing fans will take place in Moscow. The rival of the hero of our article will again be Cesar Cuenco. Their first fight ended in victory for Edward, but the coaching staff of the Argentine athlete believed that there was a refereeing error, and the Russian boxer should be disqualified. So the upcoming meeting should give an answer to the question of which of them is more worthy of the championship belt. That is exactly what he is, Eduard Troyanovsky. The boxer has not yet revealed his full potential, and hopefully this will happen.
