Konstantin Ivanov, biography of the poet
K.V. Ivanov was born in the small village of Slekbash, located in the Ufa province, in May 1890 in a family of literate and inquisitive peasants. His father did his best to educate the children, educated and developed them. He wrote out various journals, was very fond of reading, and was fond of the study of agriculture. Vasily Ivanov lovingly passed on his skills to the younger generation, put his knowledge and life experience into children.
Little Konstantin Ivanov spent a lot of time next to his beloved grandmother. At eight years old, he happily went to elementary school, and after that he moved to the city of Belebeyevsky School. In 1903, a thirteen-year-old guy was already distinguished by his diligence and quick wit, so he passed all the tests without much difficulty and entered the prestigious Simbirsk Chuvash school, though at that time it was only in the preparatory class. Konstantin studied endlessly and was very eager to become a good student, so he worked hard to pass the exams and successfully passed them.
Love of creativity
During this time, Konstantin Vasilievich Ivanov fell in love with woodcarving, became interested in carpentry and portraiture. He could hardly be pulled out of the workshop, so that the boy would at least dispel and walk with his peers. Konstantin Vasilievich Ivanov was not interested in children's toys - he was occupied with more serious and adult affairs. With his own hands he built small furniture, various lockers, painted portraits and worked on decorations for local performances. Political side
The young and ambitious Konstantin Ivanov had a democratic attitude and in 1905 could not remain calm and not take part in the actions of the First Russian Revolution. He writes an aggressive "Chuvash Marseille", where he calls on the people to rally against tsarism. After the protest, he is expelled from the city school, and he leaves for his village. The poet’s hatred of social injustice was maintained throughout his life and was reflected in creative activity. Konstantin Ivanov dreamed that the day would come when the beloved Chuvash people would be freed from the old foundations.
Ivan Yakovlev
A significant role in the fate of Konstantin Vasilyevich was played by Ivan Yakovlev. This person was an inspector of Chuvash schools, a teacher and educational leader at the Simbirsk school. Thanks to him, Ivanov took up the translation and publication of Chuvash books. Many poems, songs and works have been translated by him. Konstantin Ivanov in the Chuvash language copied the works of Lermontov, Ogaryov, Nekrasov, Balmont and other famous people. Thanks to the Chuvash enlightener Ivan Yakovlev, later this type of activity became one of Ivanov's main occupations.
Creative activity
The peak of Konstantin Ivanov’s creative activity was 1907-1908, when he wrote such works as “The Devil’s Slave”, “The Iron Mead”, “The Widow” and the world-famous poem “Narspi”. The tragic love story about Narspi and Setner made Konstantin a real celebrity. Even today, after almost a hundred years, people admire the poem and cannot remain indifferent after reading it. Peder Khuzangay translated the poem into Russian and called it "a national miracle and the pinnacle of the culture of Chuvashia."
Soon a whole book comes out with the works of the poet. The poems of Konstantin Ivanov find their fans and become public property. For the fortieth anniversary of the beloved teacher of the Simbirsk school, the poet prepared a special gift. Konstantin Ivanov, he wrote and dedicated the poem “Our Time” to her.
In 1909, at the beginning of spring, a young attractive guy, already a poet, passed exams and became a national teacher of drawing and calligraphy at a female school owned by the Simbirsk school. He is actively involved in the preparation of a training manual for creating Chuvash songs and poems for them. And together with his colleagues, Ivanov publishes a new “Primer for the Chuvash”, where Russian letters were used. In addition to beautiful poems, poems and translations, Konstantin Ivanov presented the world with many graphic and sculptural works.
The death of Konstantin Vasilievich Ivanov
In 1914, the poet became seriously ill. A serious form of tuberculosis killed him in almost six months. Death occurred on March 13, 1915, and Konstantin Ivanov did not quite live up to his twenty-fifth birthday. He was buried in the native village of Slekbash. To some extent, he still managed to give the Chuvash people freedom, namely, an unusually important freedom of speech.
The memory of Konstantin Ivanov
Despite the fact that this great unusually talented person left this world so early, he will forever remain in our hearts. His monument stands on Red Square in the city of Cheboksary, there is also a memorial tablet and a bust of K.V. Ivanov. In his honor, the Chuvash Academic Drama Theater was built. The city also has a square and a street named after the poet. A memorial museum has been opened in Ivanov’s homeland. His name is listed in world encyclopedias, so Konstantin Ivanov will never die in the memory of the people. In the Chuvash Republic, 2015 is recognized as the year of memory of the poet.
