Bobbin cutting machine - what is it? Kinds

Progress in science and technology has led to the fact that currently the field of work with flexible packaging, polymer processing and packaging is accompanied by the presence of such an aggregate as a slitter machine. In addition, there are several types of this unit, which differ from each other in the direction of work.

General description of the device

The development and development of new polymeric materials, the improvement of old ones, the improvement of the quality of barrier properties, as well as the emergence of multilayer specimens led to the need to improve aggregates capable of working with them. The widening and improvement of the slitter-cutting machines was due to the fact that polymeric materials began to be in great demand in various industries, in particular in the food industry. In addition, the improvement of the qualitative characteristics of polymeric substances entailed the creation of aggregates that had special properties, for example, the possibility of roll cutting of a wide range of flexible packaging materials.

Varieties

Today, the whole variety of bobbin cutting machines can be divided into three large classes.

The first class is centrally wound devices. In such machines, the winding shaft is the leading part, and its rotation is due to the rotation of either the main drive of the apparatus, or a distributed drive system. As for the winding process itself, it is carried out on two shafts in a checkerboard pattern.

The second class of machines are devices with contact B-winding. For such devices, shafts are not leading, but driven. To transfer the rotation moment to the output winding roles, one transmitting rubber or metal shaft is needed, which, in addition to rotation, will also be supportive. In this case, the winding device will rely on this shaft. This class has little resemblance to the previous group. It consists in the fact that here also there are two winding shafts, which are operated in a checkerboard pattern.

The last class is contact C-winding machines. Such machines are most often used for cutting paper, as well as paper-based laminate. To transfer rotation to the output winding roller, one rubber transmitting shaft is used. He, as in the previous case, is also supportive. The main difference between this class is that the device can be either single-shaft or two-shaft, depending on the number of winding rollers.

Separate group

Separate brands of the slitter-cutting machine is a group of devices with contact-center winding. These machines were mainly used in the field of cutting self-adhesive roll materials. As for the principle of operation of this type of bobinorezki, it can be similar to contact B-winding. But here it must be taken into account that this class of machines must work in such a way that during operation the winding rollers do not touch the transmitting rubber or supporting metal shaft. If this happens, then during operation, the adhesive will extrude onto the side surfaces.

Wobbler WFQ-1300

This device belongs to vertical units, and the main purpose is the cutting of rolled materials. This can be paper, a polymer-type film or self-adhesive elements. Use this machine to rewind wide rollers with unwinding on one shaft will not work. If this happens, this will result in overheating of the electromagnetic couplings. This will threaten premature failure of the entire installation. For cutting, this model has both knives and blades. As for the characteristics of the bobbin-cutting machine, for this model they are as follows:

  • The minimum cutting width with a blade is 30 mm, and for circular knives 40 mm.
  • Such a parameter as the cut error will be only ± 0.3 mm.
  • The power of the device is 4.8 kW.
  • The speed of the slitter is adjustable from 30 to 160 m / min.
  • The total weight of the equipment is 1.8 tons.

Safety precautions

Each unit is accompanied by instructions for its operation. A clear and strict adherence to the rules will lead to the fact that the machine can be operated at 100% of its capacity, which will raise the efficiency to 100%. In addition, following the rules will help to avoid machine downtime due to repairs, and also to operate it as safely as possible. One of the basic safety rules applies to long hair. If the employee’s hair is long enough, it should either be tied back, or completely removed under the beret.

Some requirements apply to the installation of new equipment. For example, the machine should be installed at least one meter away from the nearest walls. For the correct operation of the machine itself, it is required to connect it to a three-phase power supply of 380 V with a frequency of 50 Hz and be sure to arrange grounding.
