In the Efremova dictionary, the word "suspiciousness" is interpreted as a tendency to heightened anxiety about the health and life of loved ones or oneself. From my point of view, the definition is accurate, but not quite complete. An observant person, according to my observations, is inclined to exaggerate all the negative events from his point of view, whether it is the health of loved ones or just an unfriendly look cast in a bus or subway.

Suspiciousness is a personโ€™s tendency to believe that everything in life is directed exclusively against him, and everyone around him is anxious to bring evil to his beloved as much as possible. Sometimes suspicious people seem funny. Sometimes they annoy. Rarely cause sympathy. And it is always difficult to communicate with them.

What to do? First of all, you need to keep in mind: excessive suspiciousness is a kind of illness, a psychological (not to be confused with the mental!) Deviation. It can have many reasons, one of which is improper upbringing in childhood. Constant parental punishments, threats, insults, lack of parental love, labeling at school can forever ruin a personโ€™s life, making him shy. Suspicion is a fear of not pleasing someone, appearing in a funny way, being in the spotlight, making a mistake. Another reason for this phenomenon may be strong emotional experiences that befell a person. The loss of loved ones, war, betrayal of friends, health problems that have arisen can provoke exaggerated, overly exaggerated experiences, make you constantly live in anticipation of a recurrence of the traumatic situation.

In order to overcome suspiciousness, treatment is usually not required. But without consulting a psychologist is difficult to do, although it is quite possible.

First you need to take a piece of paper, a pen, try to write down what exactly worries. Read the resulting list carefully. You will immediately see how unjustified part of the experience. Disturbing health? Go to the doctor, be examined. Has someone looked badly in your direction? So what? Switch, think about the pleasant.

Try to ignore all disturbing situations. At first it will be difficult (this is where the help of a psychologist will be needed), then it will turn out better and better.

Remember: how everyone, living on Earth, you have the right to mistakes and shortcomings.

Understand: the most unflattering review is just the subjective opinion of one person. Learn to skip evaluative but non-constructive words by yourself, and be grateful to the person who expressed them for advice bearing reasonable suggestions.

Realize: rudeness from others is theirs, but not your problems.

Firmly understand: it is impossible to please everyone at once.

Try to do something interesting. Focus on what you do better than others, raise self-esteem.

In order to overcome your problem, you need to undergo a complete medical examination to make sure that no fatal health problems exist.

True, it may happen that increased anxious suspiciousness is the first symptom of any deviation, for example, panic attacks. But in this case, there is nothing to worry about. Millions of people (according to statistics, every fifth on Earth) suffers from this psychological and behavioral deviation. Methods for treating this disease have long been found, and treatment initiated on time can completely eliminate it.

Decisive people should always remember one thing: their life completely depends on working on themselves. The more hard a person will work to get rid of unproductive fears, the more active and cheerful life will be, the more successful life will become.
