Open Joint-Stock Company Neftekamsk Automobile Plant is one of the leading Russian manufacturers of passenger buses. The second direction of the enterprise is the assembly on the basis of KAMAZ of heavy-duty dump trucks, tanks and trailers.
History
In the 70s, since the construction of the KamAZ auto giant, it was decided to build satellite enterprises near Naberezhnye Chelny that produce components. The Neftekamsk automobile plant began to be built on 07/13/1972. It was planned to produce dump trucks and winches.
The first dump truck of the KAMAZ-5511 series was assembled in 1977, over the next 5 years more than 100,000 units were produced. Since 1981, shift buses began to be manufactured.
In 1993, NefAZ became a joint stock company. The first model 5299 city bus rolled off the assembly line in 2001. In the mid-2000s, the company established close contacts with the Dutch-Belgian concern VDL, which was interested in releasing modern models of public transport in Russia. An important step was the creation of the NefAZ-52992 electric bus with a range of 200 km. Environmentally friendly electric vehicles in the future will be able to replace buses with internal combustion engines.
Bus production
Neftekamsk Automobile Plant with a capacity of 1000 buses per year is located on an area of ββ20,000 m 2 . All workshops are equipped with modern, mostly imported equipment. Here, advanced technologies of the European level are applied, allowing to produce high-quality products.
The NefAZ automobile plant in Neftekamsk stands out for its high production culture. Workers are provided with a comfortable uniform and protective equipment; cosmetic repairs were carried out in the workshops. Strict control in the field of labor protection allows minimizing injuries and increasing the fire safety of the enterprise.
Structure
Let's get acquainted with the structure of the enterprise. Neftekamsk Automobile Plant consists of four productions:
- procurement;
- welding;
- painting;
- assembly.
Technology
The quality of parts and blanks is the basis for the manufacture of products of a high technical level. German and Italian detachable machines used in the blank production process produce blanks with high accuracy in linear and angular dimensions.
For the outer cladding of the frame, galvanized steel coils are used. The unwinding of the roll and the editing of the plane of the workpieces is done on a 23-roll straightening machine. The equipment allows to obtain very flat body planes, which positively affects the ease of installation and the quality of painting.
Frame structures are welded on specialized stands developed by the engineers of the plant. The chassis at the request of customers can be equipped with KamAZ (Euro-2), DAF (Euro-3) or Caterpillar (Euro-3) motors.
Assembly and welding of the right and left halves of buses is carried out on special stocks. Final assembly is carried out at the assembly stand. The internal cavities of the pipes are filled with corrosion-resistant materials, guaranteeing 10-year protection of the internal surfaces.
Products
Neftekamsk Automobile Plant assembles seven main models and 24 bus modifications. Among them:
- tourist;
- intercity;
- urban;
- suburban;
- electric;
- in northern execution;
- for people with disabilities.
By special order, anti-slip flooring has been developed for all models. The engine compartment is separated from the passenger compartment by vibration and noise absorbing panels. The driverβs workplace is thought out to the smallest detail. Today, every third Russian large-class bus is produced in Neftekamsk.
Heavy Dump Trucks
OJSC "Neftekamsk Automobile Plant" is part of the KamAZ group of companies, therefore it is logical that the assembly of cargo special equipment was organized on its basis:
- tankers for the transportation of petroleum products ;
- dump trucks;
- body trailers and semi-trailers for various purposes;
- snow removal equipment;
- auto parts, components, assemblies.
The dump truck production complex covers an area of ββ105,000 m 2 . Over 50 cars leave the conveyor of NefAZ daily. Every day, 240-260 tons of metal are required for the production of components for the plant.
The assembly and welding of the platforms is carried out on flow-mechanized lines. Their flowing capacity is 23,000 units per year. General welding of subframes, supports and bodies takes place on the bench site. Here, the advanced method of robotic welding and multi-point contact machines is actively used.
Machine processing of parts is carried out on automated lines. Cutting, molding, drawing of blanks is done on a unique multi-component press unit, which can be quickly reconfigured for a specific product. An important manufacturing process is the manufacture of hydraulic lifting mechanisms. They are tested on a special bench with multiple excesses of the calculated loads.
Today NafAZ is a modern and promising enterprise. Cooperation within the framework of the KamAZ concern with European partners allows the use of the most advanced technologies in production. The plant intends to increase the production of buses and special trucks.
