Chocolate House Wine
This wine has a long history. England is considered his homeland. It was there at the beginning of the eighteenth century that they prepared such an alcoholic drink: they mixed red wine or port with sugar and chocolate.
Nowadays there is also chocolate wine in home winemaking: the recipe for its preparation is not much different from the production of a regular fruit and berry alcoholic beverage. Itโs just that at some point, roasted and finely ground cocoa and sugar are added to the bottle. And when the wine is ready, it must be well filtered. The result is an inexpensive, but very tasty homemade chocolate wine.
Also, natural homemade wine can be enriched with a chocolate flavor, if the wort is insisted on pulp. There is tannin in this solid base of grape berries. They give the finished product a thick chocolate flavor. Among wines prepared industrially, wines such as cabernet and sauvignon have such a taste.
You can give a homemade wine a chocolate color if you insist it in a barrel subject to special firing. This wine has a delicate aroma of chocolate.
Recipes
To make chocolate wine at home, take a traditional recipe. You will need the following ingredients: Mas Amiel Maury wine (one bottle), Valrhona Tanariva chocolate (75 g), skim milk (175 ml). Wine and chocolate may be of other brands, but with similar tastes.
Cooking:
- we bring the wine to a boil in an enameled bowl, then we set it on fire so that the alcohol burns out;
- now boil over low heat to a volume of about 150 ml;
- Separately, bring the milk to a boil and pour heavily grated chocolate into it;
- combine both liquids and beat with a blender to get a lush mass.
Serve this chocolate wine immediately after preparation.
And hereโs the recipe for chocolate liquor. We rub two hundred-gram bars of dark chocolate on a grater, put it in a saucepan, add one and a half liters of vodka, a pinch of vanillin. Mix well, close tightly and leave for one week, shaking occasionally. After a week, boil the syrup (300 ml of water, 2 cups of milk, 1 kg of sugar). Mix the cooled syrup with tincture, close tightly and leave in a warm place for two to three weeks. Then the filter is filtered and aged for another week, after which it is bottled. It can be stored for a year.
Chocolate wine can complement any dessert, its characteristic taste will cheer you up, and a small amount of alcohol will relax.
