Domagoy Vida (photo in the article) - Croatian professional football player, defender of the Turkish club Besiktas and the national team of Croatia. He is the finalist of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. Able to play in any defensive position, however, mainly on the field he can be seen as a centerback. He has previously performed at such clubs as Osijek, Bayer 04, Dynamo Zagreb and Dynamo Kiev. The growth of a football player is 184 centimeters, weight 76 kg. He has been a member of the Croatian national team since 2010, representing his country at several European and World Championships.
Biography
Football player Domagoy Vida was born on April 29, 1989 in the city of Osijek in the Socialist Republic of Croatia, which was part of Yugoslavia. In the period from 1996 to 2003, Doni-Mikholyats played at the Unity Academy, after which he moved to Osijek, of which he is a pupil.
In the 2006/07 season, at the age of seventeen, Domagoy Vida made his debut in professional football. This season, the defender spent 12 matches and won the trust of the coach.
In the 2007/08 season, Vida further strengthened his authority at Osijek, becoming a regular regular player. In total, over the four seasons in the First League of Croatia, Domaga Vida spent 90 matches and became the author of 6 goals.
Career for Leverkusen Bayer 04
The football qualities of Vida began to be watched by many European scouts. The young defender was incomparable in the game, he always clearly followed the coaching position, rarely made a mistake in defense and, due to his versatility, sometimes covered the “jambs” of his teammates on the field. Soon Domague began negotiations with Bayer 04. The amount of the transfer transaction was not disclosed, as well as the terms of the contract. On April 29, 2010, Vida officially became a Bayer 04 player.
As part of the “pharmacists”, he spent only 8 matches in the framework of the UEFA Europa League. He only made his debut in the Bundesliga on March 5, 2011, when he replaced the injured Manuel Friedrich in the 14th minute and helped secure a 3-0 victory. Transition to Dynamo Zagreb: appearances, conflicts and problems with discipline
June 14, 2011 it became known that Domagoy Vida joined the Zagreb Dynamo for an undisclosed fee. In December 2011, Dynamo Zagreb suffered a crushing defeat from the French Lyon in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League with a score of 7-1. The big goal difference provided Lyon with a way out of the group, he overtook Ajax. After the fifth goal conceded, Domagoy Vida winked at the French striker Botafembi Gomis and showed a thumb, that is, a “class” gesture. This situation has caused a lot of suspicion from fans and FIFA, suspecting that this match is negotiable. After a short trial, the charges were dropped, and the match was found to be held in fair conditions.
On July 25, 2012, he scored the 98th goal of Dynamo Zagreb in the Champions League, which became a victory in the match against the Bulgarian Ludogorets (score 3: 2). As a result, the Vida team advanced further into the playoffs.
During appearances for Dynamo, Vida always had problems with discipline. Once he spoke obscenely against the head coach Ante Cacic, for which he was fined. Career in Dynamo Kyiv
On January 2, 2013, Vida joined the Dynamo Kyiv club, signing a five-year contract for 6 million euros. On February 14, he made his white-and-blue debut in the home game of the European League against the French Bordeaux (draw 1: 1). A week later, the Croatian defender appeared on the field in a return match, but could not protect his club from 0-1 defeat, as a result of which Dynamo Kiev left the tournament. In these matches, Vida was used by head coach Oleg Blokhin as a right back.
On March 3, Domagoy Vida played his first game in the Premier League of Ukraine against Kryvyi Rih Kryvbas. The match ended in a draw with a score of 1: 1, losing the fight for second place in the national championship to Metalist and Dnipro.
On March 10, the Croatian defender played his second match in the Ukrainian championship against the Volyn “Lutsk”. He met his future second half in 2013 in one of Zagreb's nightclubs. The footballer approached a beautiful girl and made an acquaintance, it was Ivanna Gugic, who a year later became “Miss Croatia”.
In the fall of 2015, the couple had a son, David, the media reported that Vida was present at the birth. Ivanna Gugich became the official wife of Vida in 2016, and only a year later a grandiose ceremony of their marriage took place.
