The very first slime, or slime, as it is also called, was invented in 1976 by a little girl. Playing at her fatherβs factory, she randomly mixed several ingredients, including thickeners, from which a fascinating jelly-like ball was obtained.
Unusual toy
Today on the market there is a huge variety of slimes, they are very popular, both adults and children like them. Lizun is more reminiscent of jelly, which is pleasantly rolled in the hands, pleasant to the touch, various shapes and figures can be made from it.
This quality lizun is sold in a plastic sealed package because it dries quickly when exposed to air, losing its basic properties. The toy allows you to develop fine motor skills of the child and soothes nerves. However, over time, the lizun sticks to his hands, what needs to be done to fix or prevent this?
What if the slime sticks?
A good slime should not be sticky, but if this happens, consider a few tips on what to do if the slime sticks to your hands. Often this happens due to a long game with a handgam. In this case, you can put it in a jar in a cool place and let stand for a day or two. The slime will acquire its original form and properties.
If you made a slice with your own hands, and it seems like the already thickened gum continues to stick, we will solve the problem in three ways:
- Water and soda. We put the slime in a plastic container and pour two or three teaspoons of boiled water there. Pour half a spoonful of baking soda and mix thoroughly. The toy stops sticking, but there is one drawback - now the lizun is not so viscous.
- Starch. We use any starch that is at hand. Add a tablespoon of powder to a container with a lizun. Stir, and when the toy thickens noticeably, we wrinkle it with your hands.
- Boric acid. You need to be careful with her, otherwise her large number will ruin the slime. It will become so thick that it will look like a stone. Add one teaspoon of acid and mix. If the mass does not thicken, then it is better to add starch.
How to store a lizun so that it is not lime?
We learned what to do if the slime sticks to our hands, but it will be better if we prevent this unpleasant consequence of the game. It must be properly looked after.
Over time, the slime loses its shape and decreases in size. You can grow a lizun with water: put the toy in a container and pour a little water, put it in the cold until morning.
A few tips on how to play with a slime to extend his life:
- The toy is not intended for children under three years of age.
- Do not throw it on a wall or dirty floor.
- Due to the long play, the slime becomes sticky faster.
- If you do not play with it for a long time, it will dry.
Keep the toy in its original packaging in a cool place.
