The capital of Russia is rapidly rebuilding, high-rises appear, among which for some reason there are abandoned buildings. But many of them have a grandiose appearance, and some have a huge number of areas reaching up to 100 thousand square meters. Now such structures most often become a haven for people who have lost their homes, photographers and writers come here.
Visiting Rules
First of all, it is better to refuse to visit the abandoned buildings of Moscow at night. During the day, there is less chance of meeting street children and people with no fixed abode at such facilities; dogs. The Hadron Collider “Accelerator”, located in the urban district of Protvino, is still considered the most terrible abandoned place in Moscow. They began to build this building in the 80s of the last century, but already in the 90s they were mothballed. This is a whole ring tunnel with a total length of 21 kilometers. There is a tunnel at a depth of 60 meters. Before its conservation, they even managed to partially get equipment there. To this day, emergency lighting is operating in the tunnel, air is being pumped. Even recently, the Kurchatov Institute expressed a desire to continue construction and research, but so far nothing is known. The object is under protection, but still very eager to see the miracle of technical thought of the last century, they fall on the object, although they often encounter a number of problems.
Unnecessary movie theaters
There are about 20 abandoned buildings in Moscow, where it was once planned to show a movie, in almost every sleeping area. They were erected all at about the same time from the 60s to the 70s of the last century. Until 2011, there were still attempts to revive them, but it is already clear that the city government is not interested in cinemas. Some buildings were demolished, modern shopping and entertainment centers appeared in their place, and some were abandoned:
- Avangard near the Domodedovo station;
- "Volga", not far from the station "Petrovsko-Razumovskaya", after the closure of the night club completely abandoned;
- Leningrad near the Sokol metro station is in danger of demolition.
Metro stations

In Soviet times, there were plans to build the airport, but the public opposed, even opposed Gagarin. Now the station remained empty, but the microdistrict never appeared.
Holy places

In the village of Shumanovo, the ruins of a once majestic church building have also been preserved - the temple of Dmitry Solunsky (1805). Like most buildings of this purpose, the temple was badly damaged in Soviet times and was completely looted.

At the same time, the official document promises that the lease term will be 49 years, and the cost of 1 square meter - 1 ruble. In fact, such a program allows the city to preserve the architectural objects of the city, and people find a place to live and engage in small business.
This is not to say that many took advantage of such a proposal by the authorities, but some families started a good business. For example, in 2013, in the Khlebny Lane, the Stepanov family rented a two-story dilapidated building and made repairs there. Now the family, with 4 children, lives on the 2nd floor, and on the first floor a children's educational center “Living House” has been opened. For children from nearby areas there is a place with circles and sections, educational courses and a creative workshop are held here. An anticafe is open for parents. So you can not only hold a photo shoot on the ruins or just look for artifacts, but also do a useful thing: do business and reanimate your beloved abandoned building in the capital.
