Thanks to the vast experience of mankind using various plants as a medicine, we have complete information about their effectiveness and possible contraindications. Our great-grandmothers also prepared an excellent remedy for many ailments - this is tincture of viburnum. The recipe for its preparation has been passed on from generation to generation, it is incredibly simple, but it has a wonderful effect on the body.
Viburnum tincture for alcohol
To prepare the tincture you will need only 2 tbsp. ripe berries of viburnum and 500 ml. vodka. Prepare the container earlier - for this it is very convenient to use a 2-liter bottle.
It should be pre-washed and, preferably, dried. Pure berries need to be sorted out from twigs and cuttings. Small inflorescences do not need to be divided if they freely pass into the neck of the container. When filling berries in a bottle, you do not need to tamp them. It is necessary that vodka freely penetrate to the bottom. Add vodka until it covers the top row of viburnum. Close all this tightly with a lid and leave it in a cool dark place for several days. Then add vodka to the bottle right up to the neck and return the product to its original place. Only after three weeks you will get tincture of viburnum. The prescription, as you can see, is very simple, but it takes time before you can take the medicine for its intended purpose. It is recommended to add a few tablespoons of this tincture to tea - this will help with colds, insomnia, high blood pressure and weakened immunity.
Viburnum tincture with sugar
Here is another great recipe that allows you to prepare a tincture, which is recommended even for ulcers. In a combination of berries of viburnum and sea buckthorn, you can get a cure for this disease. In order to cook it, you will need: 3 kg of viburnum, 1 kg of sea buckthorn, 2 tbsp. sugar and 2 liters of vodka. Pay attention to the fact that the quality of vodka must be at a high level.
Scatter clean and dried berries in jars and pour vodka to the top.
Close the lids tightly and set aside for a few weeks to all settle. Then pour the vodka into a separate container and cover the remaining berries with sugar. Shake the jars well so that the sugar is completely mixed with the product. After two weeks, drain the syrup formed in the containers. Your tincture of viburnum (a recipe is also suitable for preparing medicine from mountain ash) will be ready after you mix the syrup with the previously drained vodka. Store the product in sealed containers and in a dark place.
How to apply tincture
This tincture can be consumed in small glasses before meals for the prevention of colds . Those who suffer from insomnia, it is recommended to drink the medicine, adding it to tea a few spoons. Caution is required to treat the product to people suffering from heart disease or low blood pressure. Use only for the treatment of adults, since alcohol tincture from viburnum is contraindicated for children. The recipe for children involves the preparation of jelly, broths or fresh berries.
