The Moscow metro is expanding rapidly beyond the Moscow Ring Road. Cars on automatic control appear, the scheme of new Moscow metro stations is constantly updated .
What has been done and what metro stations are already open
Perhaps, the most long-awaited metro stations were planned to be opened last year: Lermontovsky Prospekt and the continuation of the Krasnopresnensko-Taganskaya line - Zhulebino.
Deputy Mayor Marat Khusnullin promised to open them by September 1, 2013, but the deadlines were postponed.
At the moment, we are talking about the fact that this year the planned projects regarding the metro will be completed.
Moscow has suspended the construction of new stations, and it is not yet known how soon they will open.
In addition to Lermontovsky Prospekt and Zhulebino, in December 2013 it was planned to open the Victory Park of the Solntsevo-Kalinin line and the Lesoparkovaya metro station, as well as the Delovoy center and Bitsa park metro stations located on the Butovo line.
Also in 2013, it was planned to open the second exit of the Baumanskaya station, but later it was decided to abandon this project, since it was too expensive. The new Moscow metro on the subway map will not appear soon.
In the fourth quarter of 2013, the question arose about what the new trains would look like: the Moscow metro held a tender in which the Siemens concern and the Russian Machines industrial holding, specially united for this project, decided to take part.
You can already see Siemens Inspiro trains right now: the luminous lines in the doors react to the loading of cars, information screens, foot-level lighting, additional folding seats, through passages through cars and so on.
Uralvagonzavod, together with Bombardier and others, also took part in the tender. The total cost of the tender is 300 billion rubles, for which the delivery and maintenance of 2500 cars is planned.
Turnstiles will accept cards
In the fall of 2013, the turnstiles of some stations were equipped with a system that reads payWave Visa bank cards, that is, it is possible to simply lean the card against the turnstile reader and go through. A similar system is already operating at Sheremetyevo Airport, where using the cards you can pay for the express train. We remind you that now in the Moscow metro using bank cards it is only possible to purchase a ticket in the machine.
New Troika features
Starting in December 2013, the changes will affect the Troika electronic card. As a result, its replenishment will be possible not only in terminals and subway machines, but also through the Internet, mobile applications, through some ATMs or SMS messages. It will be possible to check the card balance or block it using the short number 3210. These innovations will make the use of Troika more convenient and safe.
Problems and prospects of the metro in 2014
Moscow City Hall has repeatedly raised the issue of solving the problem of heavy congestion on roads, and one of the solutions is a more extensive metro line scheme. Today this issue is relevant as always, now you can see how intensively Moscow is building the metro. The new stations of 2014 have already begun their full-fledged operation and are still waiting for their launch.
This year, the changes will affect the Timiryazevsko-Serpukhovskaya line, which is one of the most problematic, since it is here that power outages and fires quite often occur.
In 2014-2015, all trains will be replaced with new Oka models, which now travel along the gray line.
New metro stations Kotelniki and Spartak
Spartak station, scheduled to be launched back in the 1970s, was frozen for 30 years. Finally, the opening of new stations will take place in May this year. In Moscow, the new stations of 2014 are located between Tushinskaya and Schukinskaya.
This year, the Kotelniki station behind Lermontovsky Prospekt and the stations in the northern part of the Lublin-Dmitrov line: Fonvizinskaya, Butyrskaya, Okruzhnaya, Petrovsko-Razumovskaya, Seligerskaya and Upper Likhobory will be launched .
In addition, the red line will be extended, “South-West” will no longer be the end. Behind it will be built “Salaryevo”, “Rumyantsevo” and “Troparevo”. As a result, the Salaryevo metro will be located already beyond the Moscow Ring Road, namely between the village of Salaryevo and the Kiev Highway, that is, on the territory of New Moscow.
New stations will be equipped with Wi-Fi
Until the third quarter of 2014, Wi-Fi will begin to work in all metro lines. Currently, wireless Internet is installed only on the short Kakhovskaya line, but in the near future it is planned to install on the Koltsevaya, Sokolnicheskaya and Kalininskaya lines. It is planned that all new metro stations in Moscow will be equipped with Wi-Fi, while the transmission speed will be about 50 Mbit / s per train.
No more tickets for 1 and 2 trips
This year there will be another important change for the Moscow metro. New stations 2014 will not accept old tickets. Paper tickets for denominations 1 and 2 of trips will disappear from the apparatus and cash desks of the metro, so that you can pay for the fare either with "One" with a large number of trips, or with a Troika card, or you can buy a 90-minute ticket.
Officials explain this by the need to reduce queues at the box office. However, popular tickets for one and two trips should have been withdrawn from sale back in 2013, but Muscovites were so indignant that the date was postponed twice.
This initiative even now seems implausible to many. There are also nice changes. Already in the spring of this year, a Troika card can pay for car parking and bike rental.
The opening of the northern lobby is planned at VDNH
By the third quarter of 2014, it is planned to open the northern entrance hall of the VDNKh metro station, which was closed in June 2013 to replace escalators, upgrade engineering networks, repair ventilation, turnstiles and the cash register. At the moment, the station is experiencing hard times. The northern exit leading to the All-Russian Exhibition Center was the most convenient and popular, so now the load on the only exit has increased significantly.
In 2015, the Moscow Metro will begin purchasing new trains from a company that will win the announced tender. These trains will be, as you know, “fundamentally new”, namely with the possibility of a through passage through the train, with automatic seats that will be folded and removed at rush hour. The new trains also have retractable ramps, which can be easily used by people with disabilities.
Also, plans to equip the metro stations include the creation of a new lighting system that will respond to the intensity of natural light and will change depending on the current time of day, the installation of screens to help passengers find the right direction, and even the creation of cars with automatic control, that is, with the movement the driver will not need them. But, according to Alexander Vaysburd, head of the rolling stock service, employees will still be nearby and follow.
In addition, the trains will move almost silently, the doors will begin to clamp slightly, and the air conditioners will really work. On which lines new trains will appear, it is now unclear, but it is known for certain that in 2015 the changes will affect the Zamoskvoretskaya line, where trains will be replaced with the new Oka train model.
New metro stations reach Khimki
According to the plans for the development of the metro, the construction of stations extending the Zamoskvoretskaya line in the north should be completed in a year: Ulitsa Dybenko and Belomorskaya ulitsa, as well as the Technopark metro station, which is located on the map between Avtozavodskaya and Kolomenskaya stations Metro. Moscow is looking forward to building new stations. If this project is implemented on schedule, this will be another successful step for unloading the transport network of the capital.
New stations of 2014 will be opened in the western direction of the Solntsevo-Kalinin line (Lomonosovsky Prospect, Minskaya, Ramenki and Kozhukhovskaya), in the southeast (Nekrasovka, Kosino, Kosino-Ukhtomskaya and "Saltykovskaya street").
In 2015, the first of the sections of the third interchange circuit will be launched, including the Petrovsky Park, Khoroshevskaya, Nizhny Maslovka, Khodynskoye Pole, Business Center and Shelepikh stations. Also in 2015, a new light metro line will be launched in Khimki - Moscow Region and Sheremetyevo Airport.
What changes await the Moscow metro in the near future?
On the Krasnopresnensko-Taganskaya line, old trains will be replaced by trains of the Oka brand. In addition, the construction of five stations on the Kozhukhovskaya line, located in the southeast of Moscow, should be completed by 2016. The new metro stations in Moscow are Nizhny Novgorod Street, Aviamotornaya, Okskaya Street, Stakhanovskaya and Fergana Street. The construction of the Third Interchange Circuit will continue.
By 2017, the Third Interchange Circuit will be commissioned. If all its stations are built, then one more metro ring will turn out (Moscow). New stations of 2014 will be opened in the west of the Solntsevo-Kalinin line: Ochakovo, Solntsevo, Tereshkovo, Novoperedelkino, Borovskoye Shosse, Michurinsky Prospekt, Razkazovka - the latter will be final and will be opened in the same name the village. Previously, it was about extending the line to Vnukovo Airport, but at the last review, Sobyanin said that there are no such plans now. The length of the Solntsevo-Kalinin line - about 26 km - it will be the longest metro line (Moscow). The new stations of 2014 will undoubtedly become a sought-after facility for the immediate suburbs. So, now let's see what other prospects for the construction of the Moscow metro are waiting for the population of the capital.
The Moscow metro map will change. New stations will be launched in the next 12 years.
The construction of the Moscow metro is one of the priorities of the coming years for the capital.
Despite the fact that the Moscow metro has already grown enough, new stations in 2014 are constantly appearing on the subway map, this trend will continue for the next few years.
By 2018, the construction of the Solntsevo-Kalinin line will be completed, which will be supplemented by the central stations Volkhonka, Tretyakovskaya, Kutuzovsky Prospekt and Plyushchikha.
According to the project, the construction of a chord line running parallel to the Kaluga highway - this is the area of New Moscow - from 2 to 5 stations (final data differ) to Kommunarka, from which they are trying to make a parliamentary center, is very unsuccessful. The line is at the project stage, and no drastic measures are foreseen for it. New metro stations in Moscow in this direction will not appear soon.
In 2020, it is planned to purchase 3,000 new cars. Given that the new metro in Moscow now has a total of 4,500 cars, this will be an update of most of the rolling stock.
In 12 years, the light metro will come in the suburbs
Officials promised that metro lines would be drawn through all the main cities of the Moscow Region. New metro stations in Moscow will be located at the following points: Sheremetyevskoye, Kryukovo, Zheleznodorozhny, Pushkino, Lyubertsy, Balashikha, Podolsk, Domodedovo, Nakhabino and Odintsovo. The most unlucky city in this regard is Mytishchi, since for several years there they can’t decide on the feasibility of building a branch. The opening of a new metro in Moscow in this direction could significantly relieve suburban electric trains that transport a huge number of passengers every day.
For the last time, the Moscow City Hall decided to abandon the construction of the Mytishchi metro station. It is believed that this will lead to serious collapse.
