What is gymnastics? Why is it needed? What types of it exist? Who should do it? Today we will try to give answers to all these questions.
Gymnastics for children
Gymnastics is a set of specially selected exercises that help not only wake up the body from sleep in the morning, as we used to think from childhood, but also strengthen health in general.
Gymnastics is also called charging. And this is no accident. After all, it helps in raising children in preschool and school age. After this or that physical exercise is done in the morning, the children will be in a good mood and there will be an emotional recovery. Also, after charging, the drowsy state disappears and the efficiency increases.
In addition to all this, exercise helps to develop discipline in children and overcome laziness. If morning gymnastics at home is compared to gymnastics in a kindergarten or school, then in the first case it helps to wake the body from sleep, and in the second it carries organizational moments.
The whole point of morning exercises in kindergartens or schools is that hyperactive children calm down, while inactive children, on the contrary, are filled with energy.
How to do gymnastics?
We have already said that gymnastics is a set of exercises that invigorate the body. To achieve this goal, it is necessary not to force the child to do gymnastics, but to interest him in a playful way to do exercises that will be useful. For example, we can say; βDo you know how frogs jump? Let's show it together! β It is very important that you be a role model, so itβs worth doing morning exercises with your baby.
How to do exercises? First of all, it needs to start with walking on the spot or in a circle, while saying: "Our legs are walking!" Children raise their legs high, after 1-1.5 minutes of such actions it is necessary to complicate the task, for example: "Now we are reaching for the sun!" or "Now we walk like bears!" In the first case, children in walking raise their hands up and slowly lower them, and in the second case, the children walk on the inside of the foot, swaying like bears. Here it is worth paying attention not only to the correct execution of exercises, but also to breathing.
After these exercises, as a rule, ball games and imitation of the actions of various animals are introduced.
Varieties of gymnastics
Soviet teachers and psychologists divided the gym into types. All of them have their own specific tasks.
- Educational gymnastics is aimed at the development and general strengthening of the body for certain individuals or for one or another age. This includes developing gymnastics for schoolchildren and preschoolers, women's gymnastics (aimed at developing and strengthening the female body), athletic gymnastics (aimed at power activities) and some other types.
- Improving gymnastics is aimed at improving the body. This kind of exercise includes exercise, physical education (today its use has been widely used in lessons in schools), rhythm and physiotherapy.
- Sports types of gymnastics are aimed at the development of physical qualities and willpower. These include rhythmic gymnastics and sports acrobatics. Having mastered the technique of various physical exercises, children participate in the demonstration of their sportsmanship.
A bit about rhythmic gymnastics
Rhythmic gymnastics is in high demand among boys and girls of preschool and primary school age. In addition, this sport is also popular among women. It involves the performance of certain exercises synchronously to music with the subject (it can be a hoop, ball, tape, and so on) or without it.
No wonder one of the most beautiful sports is considered to be such gymnastics. This is not surprising. Surely you have repeatedly watched with enthusiasm competitions in rhythmic gymnastics on television.
If you want your daughter to learn how to move just as well, then give her to the appropriate classes. The gymnastics trainer will not only conduct training, but will also accompany his students in competitions and performances.
At what age can I do rhythmic gymnastics?
Experts answer this question in different ways. Some believe that doing this sport for young children is very dangerous. Others argue that, on the contrary, it is very useful. Which of them is right?
In fact, for children aged 3 to 10 years, rhythmic gymnastics is simply the performance of gymnastic exercises and the development of mental strength. Professionally, children begin to study after 10 years. It is worth considering that the sooner the child begins to engage in this sport, the faster he will be able to achieve success.
Is it possible to achieve something at the age of, for example, 20 years? Of course you can. First of all, people can prove to themselves that they can achieve certain results. Secondly, today you can attend classes for any age groups, where they can also prepare for competitions. Competitions in gymnastics in this case cannot be of a high level, but everyone can demonstrate for them what he has achieved during this or that period of practicing this sport.
