Pink Rhodiola (golden root) is a perennial plant belonging to the family Crassulaceae, reaching a height of fifty centimeters. Its rhizome, passing into the root, is covered with gray-brown bark. The plant is quite unpretentious. It is able to appear on any soil and tolerate winter periods well. Rhodiola propagates using rhizomes. At the break, this part of the plant has a pinkish-yellow color. If the root is washed with water, then it will acquire the color of old gold. At the same time, its smell can be compared with the aroma of a rose. That is why the plant was called the golden root (Rhodiola rosea).
