If you translate this English word into Russian, you get a "conversation", and in a sense even a "chatter". After all, by going to the chat, everyone can talk on any topic. Thanks to Internet chats, not only two people can talk to each other, but also several users at once. To do this, they just need to connect the appropriate software. The main thing is not to confuse chat with forums and emails. Of course, they also serve as communication between people, but not as fast as chat rooms.
