Dmitry Loskov (photo below) is a Soviet and Russian professional former footballer who played as a midfielder, currently a coach at Moscow Lokomotiv. During his playing career, he played for such clubs as Metalist Kurgan, Rostselmash, Lokomotiv Moscow and Saturn Ramenskoye. In the period from 2000 to 2006, he played in the national team of Russia. Member of the 2004 European Championship. He achieved the greatest success during his performances for the Moscow Lokomotiv, where he was the team captain for a long time. Dmitry Loskov was born on February 12, 1874 in Kurgan, USSR. He grew up and was brought up in a sports family, his father was the director of one of the gymnasiums of Kurgan. When Dmitry was in 3rd grade, he received a serious injury - an open fracture of his lower leg. He walked with the guys near the swing, from which the boy fell off and flew into Dmitry, injuring his right leg. Throughout the year, Loskov was treated in the Kurgan clinic of orthopedics and traumatology (currently it is the RTC "WTO"). After the restoration, it turned out that Dmitryโ€™s right leg became a few centimeters shorter than the left. Despite the pain and inconvenience, the guy began to play football. From 1983 to 1989, he studied at the Children's and Youth Sports School No. 3 of the city of Kurgan, speaking for youth teams. His first coach was Mikhail Frantsevich Guzel. Dmitry was a very talented player, because he could play in any position. At the age of fifteen, he began to play in the youth sports school-3 under the guidance of the honored trainer of the USSR Alexander Siyanov. The beginning of a professional football career

In 1990 he entered a sports boarding school in Rostov-on-Don. This choice of a young football player was due to the fact that his own uncle lived in this city. Demonstrating good football skills, Dmitry Loskov attracted attention from the coaches of various clubs in the country. In 1991, he joined the roster of the Rostselmash club (now the club is called Rostov), โ€‹โ€‹and already in the debut season he took part in two matches. The following season, Dmitry already played in the Russian championship, as the Soviet Union collapsed, debuted on July 2, 1991 in the match against Kuban. In total, Rostselmash spent four seasons playing 125 official matches (26 goals).

Career at Lokomotiv

In 1996, Dmitry Loskov became a player of the "railway". He made his debut here on March 16, 1997 in a match against the Kaliningrad Baltika. In this club, he achieved great success. For ten seasons, Dmitry was a player in the main squad, becoming a two-time winner of the Russian Championship, three-time winner of the Cup and Super Cup of Russia, as well as the owner of the Commonwealth Champions Cup. For ten seasons in the โ€œred-greenโ€ Dmitry Loskov held 370 official matches and became the author of 124 goals. Here he became the best scorer of the Russian championship and four times recognized as the best dispatcher of the season.

Having completed his career, Loskov remained at Loko, where he became a coach.
